What to do if Samsung washing machine's door handle is broken?

The Door lock secures the door closing during operation it prevent water from coming out (especially for front-load washing machine models), for your safety once the washing machine door is closed the washer can begin operating.

If the door lock is defective, the washer door will not latch properly.

What if the washing machine's door handle is broken?

Precaution tips to prevent breaking the washing machine's door handle :

  1.    Do not try  to open the door during the cycle.
  2.    Open the door after few seconds after washing machine stopes.
  3.    Do not install the washing machine behind the room door.

1 Make sure the door is properly closed.
2 Before the washing machine starts to fill, it will make a series of clicking noises to check the door lock.
3 Close the door and press Start/Pause. For your safety, the washing machine will not spin until the door is closed.
4 After the washing machine finishes all the cycles, it will take time to be able to open the door.(2-3) minutes
5 Make sure the door lock light is off. The door lock light turns off after the washing machine has drained

Where to install your washing machine ?

- Install your washing machine in a place with an enough space to open the washing machine door in a comfortable way.
- Do not place you washing machine behind room door, that may cause damage or friction with the washing machine's body.

Note:

  • The door may not open if water remains in the drum. Drain the drum and open the door manually.
  • Normally waiting for the cycle to end is all you need to do to unlock the door.
  • If the washing machine is off and the door is locked, turn it on to unlock the door.
