Restart or reset your Galaxy Buds
If you’re experiencing minor issues with your Galaxy Buds, such as unresponsive earbuds or connection glitches, restarting them is often enough to fix the problem. For more persistent or serious issues, a reset may be necessary. You can reset your earbuds either through Bluetooth settings or by using the Galaxy Wearable app.
It’s also recommended to reset your Galaxy Buds before pairing them with a new phone or switching to another device. Doing so helps ensure a smoother and more reliable connection.

Restarting your Galaxy Buds is the quickest and easiest way to resolve many common issues. If your earbuds are unresponsive, experiencing minor connection problems, or not behaving as expected, a restart is often enough to fix the issue.
No matter what problem you’re experiencing, restarting your Galaxy Buds is a good first step to try. Because it’s fast and easy, it can save you time before moving on to more advanced troubleshooting. Only skip this step if you already know that a full reset is required.
Insert the earbuds into the charging case, then close the lid. Wait at least seven seconds, then remove the earbuds from the case. The earbuds will restart and automatically reconnect to your device.
Resetting your Galaxy Buds can help resolve persistent connection issues and restore normal operation when restarting the earbuds isn’t enough. It’s also recommended when you plan to pair your earbuds with another device. A reset removes existing connections and settings, allowing you to set up the earbuds again from a clean state. Resetting your Galaxy Buds from the Bluetooth menu is the most universal method, as it’s available on all mobile devices.
Note: Bluetooth must be turned on on your mobile device to access the list of paired devices.

Resetting your Galaxy Buds using the Galaxy Wearable app allows you to restore the earbuds to their default settings directly from the app. This can help resolve persistent issues and is especially useful if you already manage your Galaxy Buds through the Galaxy Wearable app.
Note: To reset your Galaxy Buds using the Galaxy Wearable app, the earbuds must be connected to the app. If they aren’t connected, the reset option will be unavailable. In this case, you can reset your Galaxy Buds from the Bluetooth menu instead (refer to the previous section).
