Customize your photos with My filters on your Galaxy phone or tablet

Taking a picture on Galaxy S22 Ultra using filter setting

These days, people love using filters in photos and videos. That’s why Galaxy phones and tablets let you create your own with the My Filters feature! You can imitate the colors and styles of your favorite photos and apply them to new photos as you take them. Each created filter is saved in the Camera app for future use so you can easily access it again later. If you’re looking for the newest Galaxy phones with custom filters in the Camera app check out our website.

Note: You cannot use My filters when the camera is set to a 3:4 64MP aspect ratio. The My filters feature is only available on XCover6 Pro, S10, S23, S22, S21, S20, Note20, Z Flip series, Note10, Z Fold series, A54 5G, A53 5G, A32 5G, A23 5G, A13 5G, and A14 5G series phones.

Sometimes you just can’t find the right filter for the new selfie you took. If you’ve seen another photo with an effect that you admire, just use it to make your own filter. Up to 99 custom filters can be created and saved to your device.

  1. Open the Camera app, and then select PHOTO.

  2. Tap the Filter icon (it looks like a magic wand) in the top right corner of the screen, and then tap Filters. The first time you use this feature, it may take you through a short tutorial about how to use it.

  3. To create a new filter, tap the + icon. Tap Create filter to open the Gallery app, and then tap Pictures or Albums to find the photo with the filter you want.
Note: You can also tap Download filters to install filter apps.

  4. After tapping the photo, it will appear as a thumbnail. Tap the filter’s name to rename it, and then tap Rename. Tap Create to add it.
