How do I configure the power saving modes on my Samsung Galaxy S5 mini?
Power saving modes let you set your device to conserve battery power.* Choose between Power saving mode and Ultra power saving mode. *Battery power consumption depends on factors such as network configuration, wireless service provider, signal strength, operating temperature, features selected, vibrate mode, backlight settings, browser use, frequency of calls, and voice, data, and applications' usage patterns.
Screens and settings available may vary by wireless service provider and software version.
Turn On Power Saving Mode
From the Home screen, touch Apps.
Scroll to and touch Power saving.
Touch Power saving mode.
Touch the slider off to turn Power saving mode on.
Touch Restrict performance and mark the checkbox for each feature you want to restrict.
CPU performance: Limit the maximum performance of the CPU to conserve battery power.
Screen output: Use a lower frame rate and power level for your device's screen.
Turn off touch key light: The Recent apps and Back keys on the front of your device will not light up when they are touched or when the Home key is pressed.
Turn off GPS: Turn off location services and GPS functions on your device.
Turn On Ultra Power Saving Mode
Use Ultra power saving mode to switch your device's screen to grayscale and turn off nonessential applications so you get the maximum battery life.

1. From the Home screen, touch Apps.
Touch Power saving.
Touch Ultra power saving mode.
Touch the slider off to turn Ultra power saving mode on.
Mark the checkbox to agree to the Terms and conditions and touch AGREE.
Review the changes Ultra power saving mode will make to your device and touch TURN ON.
The Phone, Messages, and Internet applications are automatically available in Ultra power saving mode. Touch Add symbol to make up to three more applications available.
Turn Off Ultra Power Saving Mode
To adjust network connections, sound, and display settings in Ultra power saving mode, touch More Options > Settings.
From the Home screen, touch More options.
Touch Turn off Ultra power saving mode.
