Moving Apps on My Galaxy J3 to a MicroSD Card

You can save room on your device by moving Android apps to your microSD card.

Screens and settings available may vary by wireless service provider and software version.

Move Apps to a microSD Card

The ability to move apps to the microSD card is not supported by all apps. In those instances, the MOVE TO SD CARD option will be unavailable.

  1. From the Home screen, touch Apps.

  2. Touch Settings.

  3. Touch Applications.

  4. Touch Application manager.

  5. Swipe to the left to the SD CARD tab. A green check mark indicates the app has been moved to the microSD card.

  6. Touch an app and select MOVE TO SD CARD. If the app is already on the microSD card, you can select MOVE TO DEVICE STORAGE.

  7. The ability to move apps to the microSD card is not supported by all apps. In those instances, the MOVE TO SD CARD option will be unavailable. The example below shows an app with MOVE TO SD CARD unavailable and grayed out:
