Pair the Smart Remote Control on Your 2016 UHD TV (UN**KU****)

Before you start your amazing experience on your new TV, you first have to pair the Smart Remote. With the Smart Remote, you'll navigate through your TV smoothly. Learn how to pair it below.

Pair the Smart Remote Control

  1. If the Smart Control does not pair to the TV automatically, point it at the remote control sensor of the TV, then press and hold Return or Exit button and Play or Pause button simultaneously for 3 seconds.   

    • Make sure all of the stickers have been removed since the TV ships with protective stickers covering some of the sensors.
    • Confirm that the TV's power cord is connected correctly at both ends and that the remote control is operating normally.
    • Make sure your battery isn't low and replace if needed.

  2. When the Bluetooth Icon is displayed on your TV screen, release the two buttons on your Smart Remote Control.

    You may need to reset your Smart Remote Control before it will pair. To do this, press and hold the Return/Exit and Extra buttons simultaneously for 4 seconds. The images, buttons, and functions of the Smart Remote Control may differ by model.

  3. Your TV will begin pairing with your Smart Remote Control.   

  4. When paired properly, the Pairing Complete Check Mark will appear indicating that your remote is now paired to your TV.   

    If you still have any problems, please contact Samsung Customer Care 1-800-SAMSUNG (726-7864) for product support. If Samsung determines that any Product is not covered by this Standard Limited Warranty, you must pay all parts, shipping, and labor charges for the repair or return of such Product.
