Clear the App Cache and Data on Galaxy J3

Having trouble with unresponsive apps? It may be time to give those apps a good spring cleaning. Clearing the app data can also free up your memory space. By using this function, you do not have to uninstall an app or reset your phone to factory settings.

Clear App Cache

Follow these instructions to clear out an app:

  1. From the Home screen, touch Apps.

  2. Navigate to Settings Applications > Application manager.

  3. Select the desired app. 

  4. Then, navigate to Storage > CLEAR CACHE.

Clear App Data

Need a complete do-over? Try emptying out all app data.

• By clearing data, the app will be reset to the factory default settings.
• Any saved personal settings for the app will be removed.

  1. From the Home screen, touch Apps.

  2. Navigate to Settings Applications > Application manager.

  3. Select the desired app.

  4. Then, navigate to Storage > CLEAR DATA.
