How to use Karaoke Mobile on your Samsung TV

You can sing along with your favorite hits in the comfort of your home with the Karaoke Mobile Microphone and your Samsung TV. Once your TV is connected to your phone via the SmartThings app, your phone can be used as a microphone!

How to use Karaoke Mobile on your Samsung TV

Note

Only one connected phone is supported when using the mobile microphone.

Access the Karaoke Mobile Microphone

Notes

Currently, only the Stingray Karaoke app is supported for use with the mobile microphone.
The Stingray Karaoke app is available free of charge for the first 6 months of use; a subscription is required after the first 6 months have passed.

There are two ways you can access the mobile microphone: using the SmartThings app on your phone, or scanning the Stingray Karaoke app QR code on your TV.

Note

Your TV must be registered to the SmartThings app on your phone.

Use the SmartThings app

Navigate to and open the SmartThings app on your phone, and then find the location with your TV.
Select your TV, and then tap the Featured tab at the bottom of the screen.
Tap Karaoke Mic. This will open the mobile microphone on your phone, so you can start singing!

Use a QR code

Turn on your TV, and then navigate to and select Daily+ on the left side.
Select the Stingray Karaoke app.
Next, use your phone to scan the provided QR code. If your TV has not been registered to the SmartThings app, you’ll be prompted to do so; follow the on-screen instructions to connect your TV and install the Stingray Karaoke app.

When you’re ready to sing, you can use the following steps to get started with the mobile microphone.

On your TV, navigate to and select Daily+ on the left side.
Select the Stingray Karaoke app.
Browse the available options and select your desired music track.
From here, you can select Add to Queue, Sing Next, or Sing Now.

Adjust options for the Karaoke Mobile Microphone

Once the mobile microphone has been connected to your TV, you’ll see a Karaoke Mic screen on your phone. You can use this screen to adjust the microphone’s options.

Mic On/Off: Tap the Power icon in the center of the microphone to enable or disable the microphone.
Volume: Tap the Volume icon (the small microphone) in the bottom left corner, and then adjust the volume slider.
Floating remote control: Tap the remote icon in the bottom right corner to enable a mobile remote control, which can be used to navigate your TV.
