Samsung Freestyle projection issues

Samsung's Freestyle allows you to enjoy content from various angles and on different surfaces. If the picture appears distorted, unfocused, tilted, or shaky, you can try adjusting the options in Projector Settings and Picture Clarity Settings. Then, you’ll be able to clearly see The Freestyle’s image when enjoying shows and movies.

Important
Be sure to remove the protective film that is covering the lens of the Freestyle before using the device. Failure to remove the film will result in poor image quality.

Clean the Freestyle sensors.

Use a cotton swab to carefully remove any dust or debris from the sensors on top of the device. The sensors can be found on both sides of the lens.

Navigate to Focus settings.

With the Freestyle turned on, press and hold Home until the quick settings menu appears at the bottom of the screen. Select All Settings, and then select General & Privacy. Select Projector Settings, and then select Focus

Set up Auto Focus.

Set the Focus setting to Auto. With this setting enabled, the screen will automatically adjust and focus on its own whenever you move the Freestyle.

 

If this option is not available, please update the software on your Freestyle.

Adjust the Picture Clarity Settings.

Next, navigate back to All Settings, and then select Picture. Select Expert Settings, and then select Picture Clarity Settings.

 

Here, set the Picture Clarity option to Custom. This will allow you to manually adjust the Judder Reduction and Noise Reduction to your preference. Noise Reduction should be turned on for a clearer image.

Review the steps if needed.

The projected image should now be clear. If not, please review the steps above.

Open the Keystone settings.

With the Freestyle turned on, press and hold Home until the quick settings menu appears at the bottom of the screen. Select All Settings, and then select General & Privacy. Select Projector Settings, and then select Keystone.

Move the screen.

Use the direction buttons to move the screen in your desired direction.

Navigate to the Scale and Move Screen settings.

While in Projector Settings, select Scale and Move Screen. Use the directional buttons to make the screen larger or smaller. Next, select Move Screen and move it as needed. Select Done.

Adjust the Projection Mode settings.

While in Projector Settings, open Projection Mode. Here, you will choose your desired viewing mode between front, front ceiling, rear, or rear ceiling.

Review the steps if needed.

The projected image should now be adjusted to your liking. If issues continue, please review the steps above.
