Sleep settings are not applying on Samsung PC

If you've set your PC to sleep after 20 minutes, but it isn't working, make sure you've applied the settings to both battery power and when your PC is plugged in. You may also want to check your power plan settings.

Sleep settings are not applying on Samsung PC

Note
Please refer to our other PC guide if you are trying to put your PC to sleep when the lid is closed or when using the Power button.
1

Open Power & sleep settings.

On your PC, select the Start menu in the task bar. Begin to type Edit power plan, and select it when it appears.
2

Adjust your settings.

Choose your desired time for both screen and sleep depending on whether the PC is plugged in or running on battery power.
3

Change advanced power settings.

If your settings are already adjusted but are not working correctly, select Change advanced power settings.
4

Change the sleep power options.

In the Power Options window, expand the Sleep section. Select and expand Sleep after. Select the displayed minutes, and then change the minutes. If the time is already what you want, change it to another time, and then change it back. You can do the same for the other Sleep options. When you’re finished, select Apply, and then select OK.
5

Contact Microsoft.

This function is completely controlled by Windows. If you still have issues after performing the previous steps, contact Microsoft for further assistance.
