Cannot edit blue hyperlinked text in Samsung Notes

When you’re writing a note in Samsung Notes, you might notice that certain things like numbers, emails, URLs, dates, times, and addresses appear in blue. These blue items are automatically recognized as hyperlinks, which means they can’t be edited directly. But don’t worry—Samsung Notes has a feature to help you edit them!

How to edit hyperlinked text

Here’s how you can edit content that has a hyperlink:

  1. Touch and hold the blue hyperlinked text you want to edit.
  2. You’ll see a handler appear around the text.
  3. Use the handler to adjust the part of the text you want to edit.
  4. Once you’ve selected the text, you can edit it as usual.

This feature makes it easy to change or update any hyperlinked content in your notes!

How to turn off the hyperlink feature

If you don’t like the hyperlink feature and want to turn it off, here’s how:

  1. Open Samsung Notes, and then tap the Menu (the three horizontal lines) icon in the upper left side of the screen.
  2. Tap Settings, and then swipe and turn off the switch next to the option that says “Show Links in note."

This will stop Samsung Notes from automatically recognizing and highlighting certain text as hyperlinks.
