Samsung PC runs slowly or freezes

It's normal for the fan to get louder if the PC is working hard, and should quiet down when the task is complete. Gaming and video rendering are notorious for pushing a computer. If the fan is running hard during normal use, there's a few things that can be done.

Sometimes a Windows update may install generic or incompatible drivers for the USB 3.0 ports. Often this will lead to the ports able to power a connected device, but not communicate with it. Installing the correct drivers will restore the ports to normal operation.

Many external monitors and tablet PCs can be rotated to better suit your workspace, but if you rotate it by accident, you can quickly revert it to your preference.

Due to the limited space on a laptop keyboard, many keys will serve multiple functions. If they don't appear to be working correctly it's likely due to the alternate purposes of the keys being used instead. It's also important to have the language of your keyboard set correctly. Here are a few common issues and their solutions.

If you have a backlit keyboard, it can be toggled on and off with the Fn and F9 keys. If the key combination does not work, you may need to install the appropriate Samsung Settings app on your PC. If the key combination does something else (like turn the screen on and off), this means your model does not have a backlit keyboard.
