Format a microSD Card
NOTE: Screens and settings available may vary by wireless service provider and software version.
WARNING: Formatting your microSD™ card will remove all personal information from the card. This information cannot be recovered.

From the Home screen, touch Apps.

Touch Settings.

Scroll down and touch Storage under SYSTEM.

Touch Format SD™ card.

Review the message about data and touch Format SD card again.

Touch Delete all to complete the formatting process.
Remove a microSD Card
NOTE: You must unmount a microSD card before removing it.

From the Home screen, touch Apps.

Touch Settings.

Scroll down and touch Storage under SYSTEM.

Touch Unmount SD card.

Touch OK to finish unmounting the card.

Gently pull the cover off the device, using the slot on the side.

Grasp the microSD card and remove it from the device.
