Swap Requests and Cancellation

Make a swap request or cancel your subscription by contacting us using the Samsung Care+ portal

You will need your 15-digit IMEI number.

What am I covered for?

You can make up to two swap requests over the 24 month period of your subscription to SamsungCare+. However, you are not covered where your eligible device has been lost or stolen. For further details, please refer to the Terms and Conditions at https://www.samsung.com/au/care-plus/terms/

How much does it cost to enroll in Samsung Care+?

The upfront enrolment fee is $229. You will also need to pay a swap fee each time you wish to make a swap request. The applicable swap fee will be advised to you at the time of your swap request.

How much is the swap fee?

Swap fee for all eligible devices is $129 except for Galaxy S10+ 1TB where the swap fee is $199.

What happens if my eligible device or any swap device is faulty?

Our goods and services, including Samsung Care+, come with statutory consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. If your eligible device or any swap device suffers a defect or failure which is covered by a consumer guarantee, you are entitled to a repair, replacement or refund (at Samsung’s discretion) for a minor failure or a refund or compensation for a major failure. When you request a swap under Samsung Care+, we will ask you to provide information about your device to determine if there is a defect or failure that is covered under a consumer guarantee (and/or the device’s manufacturer’s warranty). Any remedy under the Australian Consumer Law (and/or the manufacturer’s warranty) will not be considered a swap and you will not be required to pay a swap fee.

Where can I purchase Samsung Care+?

You can purchase Samsung Care+ with a new Eligible Samsung Device through the Samsung e-store. Your Samsung Care+ cover must be purchased at the same time as your new Eligible Samsung Device.

How many swap requests can I make during the 24 month period?

You can make up to two swap requests, provided you pay the swap fee for each swap.

What happens if I don’t return my original device when making a swap request?

Can I still make a swap request if my device has suffered damage?

Yes, you can make a swap request if your device has suffered from cosmetic damage (such as scratches and dents) or has suffered no damage at all, provided in each case you pay the swap fee. The applicable swap fee will be advised to you at the time of your swap request.

What is a Swap Request?

A swap request allows you to swap your eligible device with the same or similar device on the payment of a swap fee.

Will customers receive a brand new device?

A swap device is usually a refurbished device of the same model as your current device. If this is not available, we’ll provide a comparable model.

Can I get Samsung Care+ for all Samsung phones?

No, there are only a selected number of supported devices under the Samsung Care+ program. Please refer to https://www.samsung.com/au/care-plus/ for a list of eligible devices.

Is Samsung Care+ insurance?

No. Samsung Care+ is not an insurance product, it is a Device Swap Program.

Who is Asurion?

Asurion Australia Pty Limited is the appointed service provider acting on behalf of Samsung Electronics Australia Pty Ltd to run the SamsungCare+ Program in Australia.

What do I do if my swap device arrives damaged?

You must return your original device within 14 days of receiving a swap device, otherwise you may be charged a Device Non Return Fee. For your swap device to be dispatched by the next business day, your swap request must be lodged by 3pm AEST on a business day. Ownership of your original device immediately passes to Samsung’s service provider Asurion once it is swapped and all content will be wiped upon receipt.
