It can withstand all my every day hazards that can be thrown its way. This includes everything from the dust and lint from my pocket to an unexpected water event such as rain. The exterior paint finish can even resist the scratches from being on my key ring.
The storage space and transfer performance are everything you can expect from a 3.0 usb flash drive. It gives people like a piece of mind not to have to transfer every file through a cloud service.

I can use it for so many different things like saving my work files, to personal pictures and videos. I always have it on the go for everything I need since I'm always doing new projects and work. I can keep everything organized and easily transfer files from one computer to another. I used to buy 6GB flash drives and I'd always get so frustrated because they never lasted long or I constantly had to override them and save files elsewhere. It was annoying trying to figure out what other 6GB flash drive had the files I needed. This flashdrive is a lifesaver.

Nowadays a lot of flagship phones don't have the micro SD card slot and as sad as that may be the ability to still use expandable storage externally makes up for it. I was looking for a flash drive compatible with my smart TV so I can pause live antenna TV. The problem is, the TV operates on USB 2.0. This Samsung flash drive is backwards compatible to 2.0, and I was hoping it would do the job. It's a Roku 50" 4K UHD TV, that requires a USB 2.0 16GB 15mbps read/write speed. This flash drive I like, it seems to be good quality, but it's just not quite fast enough on 2.0. It works but the video gets out of sync with the audio. I have to keep switching the TV to another channel and back to get it back in sync.

Realized it was time for an upgrade since that device was 10 years old. Safe to say, quite happy with this product. Copy speeds are lightning fast and I put videos/recordings on it and view it off of my monitor/tv, which is also super smooth. Easy to carry around and does not get that warm when in use. Gets super cold to touch when it’s colder but I’m not complaining lol. Highly recommend if you need an improvement as well.

This Drive in particular is solid in its weight, which is totally fine to me, cause at least I know it is made well and can take a beating. I have personally dropped my drive in water, and put it through the ringer multiple times, and it still has yet to fail me. I am tech-savvy, so I know that the advertised speeds will only run in the best scenarios with compatible devices or hardware. If you want a trustworthy drive, look no further. I use this for school and have another one I use to load operating systems on computers that are in constant use. All I can say is, in my experience, Samsung storage devices have yet to fail me.

I purchased over 80 different sets of flash media for testing to determine the best/falsest/most cost effective for use in a very large deployment of new systems. the Samsung Bar Plus line tested the best accross the board. i would recommend that strong consideration be given to the 128Gb version. the increased transfer speeds are well worth the few additional dollars. That being said, the 64Gb drives performed flawlessly and held up for the deployment.

This is a great flash drive. The design allows for pocket carry. The transfer speeds are extremely fast. I purchased 20 total of these drives for restoring baseline images via acronis. The 3.1 speeds are drastically greater than the 3.0. Also, if considering purchasing the 648Gb, the speeds between the two are drastically in favor of the 128Gb version. Invest the few extra dollars in the 128Gb version for the significantly upgraded transfer speeds.

I purchased the Samsung 512GB BAR Plus USB 3.2 Flash Drive (Gray), and I couldn't be happier with it. My laptop was running out of storage, and my email was becoming overcrowded with files. This flash drive solved both problems.

The 128gb capacity was adequate for my needs. The design is nice and the metallic shell makes it feel durable. The eyelet for a key chain is nice. The read and write speeds are fine, but not great. The drive can also get hot to the touch under some prolonged use. I've had my drive for 2 years and it is still working for my use.

A bunch of thermal extremes too. I'm so very impressed by this little drive. I had a SanDisk before this, and it was fine enough, but at some point after a year and a half (right after the warranty went out) it began intermittently working. So I got the Samsung, and haven't looked back. 10/10

The transfer speeds are listed as 300MB/s, but I suspect it was actually much faster. I did try transferring some files and I blinked and it was done! I wish everything transferred as fast. The casing is lovely and has a hefty, solid feel to it. The casing has a hole on the opposite end from the USB which would work not only as a key ring, as the specs say but may be stuck on a ball chain as a necklace. I like that it is waterproof and temperature proof, no more worries if you accidentally leave it in the car. Shockproof is also another nice feature, no worries about it breaking when it slips out of your hands. And 128 gigabytes of space is lots of room for videos, photos, files or programs. I would definitely recommend this flash drive.

I've used this device for over a year. I used it pretty hard when I first got it. It was a drive for a Windows 10 IoT install on a Raspberry Pi 4 for almost 2 months. The drive still writes data at around 230 MB/s and reads at almost 380 MB/s consistently. On USB 2, it starts at around 300 MB/s but slows down to 6.7 MB/s and stays there for the rest of the transfer. This is a solid USB drive. Best one I've used so far.

The metal body is sleek and seems well built. The form looks great and doesn't get in the way of other drives.
One issue is the write and read speeds are very slow. I've run many tests and I'm getting 25 mbs. The same as my USB 2 devices.
It's a good price for a large amount of memory. Just don't trust their reported speeds. "Up to 300MB/s Data Transfer Speed" doesn't mean anything about normal write speeds.

I've had a 32gb flash drive that I've been carrying on my belt for the last 6-7 years and this thing has survived just about everything. welding shops and grinding metal, carpentry shops and sawdust, just getting slammed around as I bump into everything and this flash drive has only now stopped working. I never expected it to last as long as it did and now have a 128gb to replace it and go another 6-7 years.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently purchased a USB 3.1 flash drive from Samsung. The first thing I noticed when looking at the package was, wow this is tiny. The Flash drive is one of the smallest drives I've seen that contains 128GB. Just think about 128GB of data that can fit almost everywhere and able to access that data at just about SSD speeds. You can technically use this drive as a computer hard drive and boot from it, even install an operating system. The second thing I noticed when I received the package is the styling. It looks very premium, modern and solid. When transferring a large data file I noticed it copied over like this was an internal hard drive. Not all computers have USB 3.1 but it will work with 3.0 and 2.0 drives as well just not as fast. Overall I hope these flash drives get smaller, faster, larger, cheaper eventually you will be able to back up your entire existence into your pocket.

I don't know why there are bad reviews on the USB, but I been using this USB more than 2-3 years and never had an issue. Most of parts I liked about this USB is the unbreakable material, speed of transfering files and opening USB, and it never got overheated. Depending on computer, but in my case it took me 10 second to open the USB on PC or sometimes it's less than 10 seconds.

Its what my roommate would say, "Hefty" like its heavily good. Yes its got some weight to it but it should since its made of metal. What i also like about this flash drive is it's simple, sleek design. It feels and looks luxury but you pay a reasonable price for its functionality and everything else is a huge bonus. Honestly, why you still reading this buy this flash drive and you want regret in getting it.

Along with being incredibly durable, file transfers nice and speedy. I do a lot of old-school file sharing for my job and these have not let me down once.

I’m pleased, the uploading speeds are decent and I’ve yet to find a problem with the flash drive. I also use this to install windows 11 but be aware any photos you put in will not be saved due to flashing the file containing windows 11

I bought this about 2 months ago & its one of the best decisions I've made regarding USB drives. I have had badluck with finding the right drive for me. However, this drive is perfect! The space is perfect & allows for plenty of photos,videos,etc. Not to mention how easy it is to use & find on a computer !

this product worked great for a couple years, then one day the transfer rate got horrible, and the next time i plugged it in, it caused my computer to lock up due to endlessly trying to load the drive. the drive also began getting very hot when plugged in; good thing i had the files backed up elsewhere!

I was amazed at how small, but mighty it is. This is my new number 1 flash drive, I mainly store my movies, videos and pictures on mine. I put most all of my movies, pictures and other short videos on it and it's still not 1/2 full. The cherry on top is its water, shock, and even x-ray proof.

I know as I set-up my own home-thumbdrive(usb)speed test against 2 (other) well known media makers and I did so downloading a test-set # of files from my desktop (Windows 11) and then uploading the same test-set # of files back to windows file exployer. Using my recently received New Galaxy S25 Ultra 512Gb Unlocked from Samsung.com greatest online trade-in offer ever, using the stopwatch function from the Clock app my Samsung 128-Gb Flash or Thumb Drive.purchased online recently won out significantly in the download and upload tests against it's 2 toughest competitors. I couldn't have made a better purchase--apples to apples it was sale-priced and beat the same 2 competitors in the price tag test I performed in the store! Incidentally, I didn't cover this earlier but the other 2 competitors flash drives are also 128Gb in capacity and less than a month old--gifts from colleagues at my official retirement party at Atlas.

The read speed is OK, but the write speed is unbelievably poor.
I get 260 MB/sec read speed.
Writing is less than 60 MB/sec. Snoooooooooooze.
Don't buy this product. The advertising "Up to 300MB/s Data Transfer Speed" is grossly misleading.
