How to share photos between Samsung Galaxy devices using Bluetooth

Bluetooth is a wireless feature that lets you share data over short distances using radio waves. You can use it to quickly send photos from one Samsung Galaxy device to another without needing Wi-Fi or mobile data.

Note: Screens and settings may vary depending on the device model, software version and carrier.

Note: To avoid connection issues, we recommend pairing both devices via Bluetooth first. For more details, see our Bluetooth pairing guide.

1 Turn on Bluetooth on both devices.
2 Open the Gallery app, then select the photos you want to send.

3 Tap Share at the bottom of the screen.

4 Tap Bluetooth at the bottom of the screen.

Note: Available options may vary depending on your usage. If Bluetooth does not appear, swipe left to view more options. Tap More, then select Bluetooth if needed.

5 Select the device you want to send the photos to.

6 Make sure the receiving device is on and not in sleep mode. When prompted, tap Accept to receive the photos.

Note:

  • You can share photos between a Samsung Galaxy device and another Android mobile device. As long as the devices can be paired via Bluetooth, you can transfer photos.
  • You can also share videos.
  • Transfer time may vary depending on the file size.
