Cualquier imagen se ve genial, tiempo de respuesta impresionante, pero... he estado desde el primer día peleándome con problemas de señal, por DP gran parte de las veces no reconoce la señal hasta que reinicias el monitor manteniendo el botón de encendido del mando unos segundos. Por HDMI, que no incluye y no es de tipo normal, el uso de G-SYNC, no puedo hablar de FreeSync, hace que la imagen se pierda a negro durante unos segundos de manera frecuente impidiendo el uso de la función. También a veces de forma aleatoria el volumen se subía un punto el solo, no tengo otro dispositivo Samsung en la casa cuyo mando podría afectar al monitor. Ahora ya directamente ha dejado de funcionar por DP que es la entrada que usaba por el G-SYNC y estoy intentando devolver el monitor contactando con el servicio, que como el pedido fue por reserva unas semanas antes de salir el modelo aun estando en los 14 días tras la recepción la opción sale deshabilitada en la página de mi pedido. Más allá de eso, si mientras funcionaba y no tenia que tocar nada es genial, el diseño del chasis y el pie son muy buenos, muy compacto, estable y sin ventiladores. Las funciones de Smart TV... igual no son adecuadas teniendo en cuenta el publico real de este producto, se metían en medio del uso del monitor con varias fuentes, no digo que tengan que ser eliminadas, pero para un monitor lo principal son las propias fuentes locales y por tanto cambiar entre ellas debería priorizarse. Se echa en falta un botón para cambiar rápidamente entre DP, USB-C y HMDI, en mi caso alternaba frecuentemente entre los 2 primeros y el proceso se hacia tedioso. En resumen, felicidades a la división de paneles de Samsung, siento que el resto no estuviese a la altura de vuestra obra.

Ich habe mir den G85SB vor ein paar Monaten zugelegt und muss sagen, er macht seinen Job wirklich gut. Optisch passt er auch wunderbar zu meinem bereits vorhandenen G60SD. Die einzigen zwei Dinge, die mich stören, sind: 1. Warum Mini-Anschlüsse? Das ist meiner Meinung nach unnötig – aber da ein DP-auf-Mini-DP-Kabel dabei war, ist es halb so schlimm. 2. Warum ist das Display (inklusive Rahmen) etwa 0,5 cm höher als beim G60SD?

Ik was al een periode opzoek naar een monitor die ik zowel voor mijn werk en gaming kan gebruiken. Een familielid had mij aangeraden om de Odyssey OLED G8 monitor te halen. Het voldoet aan mijn behoeften qua grootte en beeldkwaliteit. Ik was al een fan van samsung televisies, omdat ze lang meegaan en goeie beeldkwaliteit hebben. Picture was great. Smart features also nice to have although just having a regular monitor would be easier sometimes. Base makes it easy to put laptop there. One thing I didn't like that they corrected later was the mini dp and mini HDMI size of the ports. I prefer that they be the standard size.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Feels quite magical when you come from a standard gaming IPS 1080p 144Hz monitor. It feels more like an entertainment center. It has the same hub as your modern Samsung Smart TV so you have access to you favorite entertainment apps. It even comes with a controller just like your Samsung Smart TV, and is rechargeable! Sound is superior to pretty much any standard gaming monitor. I can have rutinary gaming sessions without any headset and will not complain on sound quality. Colors and HDR feel amazing. No need to go 4K to experiment the game in its best experience possible. Make sure you dont turn on the shadow booster if you want to experiment the magic HDR can offer. You will hardly notice pixels. The size of the screen and the resolution offer great PPI ratio, so you don't need to bother about akward jagged lines around icons or text. The only thing I would have loved to see on my monitor is the incorporation of an option to have a small FPS counter overlay. Specialy nowadaws that there is AI frame generation, which will only reflect the new FPS on the monitor or some few specific apps. It does show you FPS, but no exactly as an overlay. Hopefully they can add the function on future updates.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a fantastic monitor. this is my first OLED product ever and it did not disappoint. It looks like something out of the future, very thin bezels all around. While this is a gaming monitor, I also use it with my Mac mini m4 connected usb-c to mini DisplayPort and my work laptop connected usb-c to usb-c. the PlayStation 5 looks awesome on this especially with games that support 120 hz. It's a noticeable difference. The stand is very sturdy, never even thought of using a monitor arm. Speakers are not your average monitor speakers, they sound pretty good. At first, I didn't understand why smart features were included in this monitor but it grew on me. It has the same interface as my Samsung smart TV and I can kick back and watch stuff on here if I don't feel like getting up. The picture is amazing. I see people online picking apart little things about this monitor, things the human eye can't even detect. this is going to be an upgrade, period! The monitor even looks sexy when its powered off, love it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a lot of screens in my life and a few of them over the years have been made by Samsung but this display, even over my 65" OLED TV, is my favorite to use by far! My job as a software developer and hobby as a sim racer perfectly fit the capabilities of the Odyssey G8 OLED. The colors are flawless, its brightness is just right, and the 21:9 aspect ratio is awesome for movie buffs and multitaskers alike. There are never any glaring artifacts even at 175Hz in racing games and text in my IDE is still very legible, without much of the OLED sub-pixel issue I've seen on other manufacturer's panels. I personally do not connect the network features of the display so cannot speak to these much but the menu system seems responsive. If I HAD to complain, automatic switching to the only active input doesn't seem to work consistently. I have a PC, docking station, and the occasional laptop via USB-C all connected but when only one is running, I have to use the remote and manually switch inputs. That's really it, an otherwise flawless monitor. I hope to use it for many more years to come!

I really took great care to avoid burn-in by rotating desktop backgrounds, enabling auto-shutoff, not leaving windows open and stale, etc. At around 17 months of ownership, there is a strip of blue burnt-in to the display that pixel refresh and other methods were not able to clear. The warranty period for this product is insufficient. Would not advise buying this panel.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall: Monitor looks fantastic and I have no major complaints. I use it as a gaming and work monitor and I don't need the extra features. I also use desk speakers and can't really speak on the audio. Pros: Great clarity. Easy to use. The picture looks great and the OLED is great. I won't be able to go back to LED. Got if for a great price, LEDs are getting cheaper but this just looks so good. Cons: Might need to buy separate mini port cables. The newer model usea full size ports which could be nicer. The smart features can be annoying. Takes a few buttons to switch inputs which can be annoying from going to work/personal inputs. Tried using Bixby but it's not super fast. I wish the was a simplified mode that removed some of the "TV" features to help performance switching inputs, but only takes a couple seconds.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First of all, this is by far the prettiest gaming experience I’ve ever had. This is the first time I’ve ever bought an OLED panel gaming monitor, and it is a total game changer in terms of the quality of the picture. It is leaps and bounds above the IPS panels I normally deal with. People have talked about dealing with burn in with OLED monitors, but after having this monitor for nearly a year I have had zero issues. Just turn off your monitor when you’re done using it, and I do not see why you should have any issues. The size of the monitor is perfect for what I do. After exploring my options, the double wide monitors like the G9 49 inch are just too wide, and it makes games look goofy in my opinion. The 21:9 aspect ratio of this monitor keeps all games looking great without sacrificing certain parts of the picture. The reason I only gave it four stars comes down to some minor details. Firstly, I do not like the port choice on the monitor I/O. You are limited to the mini versions of both HDMI and DP, which leaves you having to buy new cables if you need a cable longer than the one provided in the box. Not the biggest deal, but it would be nice if they stuck with HDMI and DP like every other monitor on the market. Second, and slightly more frustrating, is my monitor flashes occasionally that it has no signal while in the middle of using it. After long testing I can conclude that it’s not my GPU or cable, but I’m not sure how to fix this. Warranty won’t cover it seemingly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] No complaints about the hardware, it looks great and runs well so long as you aren't using freesync which is an issue with oleds in general as I understand it. The only thing that can be kind of clunky is the Tizen OS. Things aren't organized they way I'd like them to be and it doesn't give you a lot of freedom. Supposedly Samsung TVs that can handle it will be switching to One UI and I really hope the smart monitors don't get forgotten about during that change.

Gameplay, and, even coding, experience is really good. It can auto adjust the settings. The only one thing I wish was a little bit easier was to switch between the inputs with just one click of a button. But, overall, great quality and build. If you are hesitant to get this, this review should be the answer for you. :)

Let's be real, the curve on this thing is aggressive. It's like your monitor is trying to give you a full-body embrace. At first, I was worried it was going to suck me into a portal to a pixelated paradise. Now, I'm just worried about how much neck strain I'm avoiding. Seriously, it's like sitting in a cockpit designed by a particularly enthusiastic octopus. OLED Goodness: "Where Did My Old Monitor Hide All These Colors?" The OLED display? Oh, honey, it's chef's kiss. Blacks so deep, you could lose your car keys in them. Colors so vibrant, you'll swear you're seeing new hues that scientists haven't even discovered yet. My old monitor is now relegated to displaying spreadsheets, which is basically monitor purgatory. It's like going from a black and white TV to a fever dream painted by a hyperactive unicorn. Colors are vivid, blacks are dark, picture is crisp, and response time is great for gaming. No issues with burn in, I run my monitor on a fairly low brightness and try not to let any static images sit for long periods of time. I would recommend getting it on sale which seems to happen often as the retail price is pretty steep.
