It was an easy upgrade from my A12, so I settled into the navigation of the device relatively quickly. Moving my information across from my old mobile to this one was no trouble. I'm an older user, so probably don't use the phone as much as most people, but it is easy to use, the battery is more than adequate, and the display meets my needs, even when I adjust it for Accessibility for my various needs. The few times I have used the camera, it has given clear images, despite my efforts, and I have no problems with the gallery when sending them to friends. Connection to Bluetooth and Wi-Fi is relatively easy, depending on local conditions and signal strength.

Easy to use as the newer version of my old A12 - I find it does need charging every day and have been unable to work out if this is due to a background app or poor battery performance. I don't use it for watching films/YouTube etc, just for social media and messaging/email. I am not a photographer so am not able to say whether the camera is amazing or not, it does what I need it to do which is take family/scenic photos and videos of decent quality. The display is the same as previous models so makes it easy to navigate to find what I want. Not had any issues with connectivity. Overall a reliable handset, not too big or heavy - good price for what you get.

To heavy. Hate it. Can't wait to get rid of it. Worst phone I've ever had. It's very slow, camera blurry and doesn't focus quickly. Autocorrect doesn't turn off and this is causing many time consuming issues if I need to write notes for a report. It's just a very poor performance all round. Truy wish I never changed the only good thing is the price. I don't use data so forced to have a cheap nasty poor quality phone for the price I want to pay. Consumers should have the choice Picture attached from old phone as this camera on A16 is so poor I haven't kept any pictures. And I have to upload something.

Ideally fits my requirements. A smartphone is not a primary device for me - is only used for; (predictably) calls, reviewing emails (and only responding in emergency), occasion texting (SMS & WhatsApp), occasionally reviewing news items and websites, playback of music, and occasionally taking reference images with the built-in camera. I'm currently only using approx 13Gig of the 128Gig capacity, and don't expect to stretch it any more than that. Would prefer the dimensions to be a little smaller - this is absolutely as big as I would want a smart phone to be - any larger would be too cumbersome of me.

This phone is the worst phone I've owned in years. My Galaxy 2 was better. This is so slow and laggy. Like another review said, you try to log into something and you get a code sent to your email. You go to your email and get the code and when you switch back to your app or browser, it resets itself and you can't log in. I can't buy anything on Afterpay because of this. Using Uber is like waiting for paint to dry. Spotify keeps randomly stopping. This is only a temporary phone (thank goodness!) and when my current contract is up for my s22 (RIP), I will be throwing this one against a brick wall.

I liked the fact that the store was able to transfer all my apps and history from my old A12. However, the battery life is shorter than the A12 which was about 40 hours even after 4.5 years. Moreover, when taking images of text, the A16 does not show that text clearly, so it's difficult to determine whether it's actually in focus before scrutinising the resultant images. Also, when correcting text especially drafting WhatsApp messages, the text jumps about which is frustrating to say the least. Overall, the A16 IMHO does not live up to the expectation I had after reading reviews before I purchased.

It's not very user friendly. It's hard to switch to different apps. Sometimes WhatsApp doesn't work when tte internet and data are on. It was recommended to me by sky when I was due an upgrade. I'm disappointed that I didn't do my research and get another phone instead. Every process takes long and refers you to use Samsung to save .

I love the feel and size of my A16, not too big, but big enough for a good clear screen for text and pictures. I like the Samsung layout and functions - this is about my 6th Samsung phone so it's new, but familiar. Has a good battery life and seems to charge quicker than my last phone. The camera is the best I've had yet - for stills and video, good sound too. I don't seem to get such good connection/ use of mobile data - whether this is the phone or the company I'm with I'm unsure, but previously I had really good coverage. Overall though it's a good phone that performs well.

I hate my new device. It's slow, it's glitch, to take a screen shot it's so difficult having both button on the same side. The home screen layouts are a mess and completely confusing. Your predictive text is so useless I am having to manually type everything. Choice of ringtone limited, it's just all.not easy to use at all, and Google news is just terrible, you can't keep up to date, you only show trash news. I hate this phone, I hate it. Waste of money but can't take it back as it was a gift... looking forward to the day I drop it in say.... a few months... oops. Terrible phone

I love the phone especially the smart switch s of to transfer files from one samsung galaxy device to to another especially with a cable but there is things i don't like is that i cannot ask google to play music by using samsung's music app also i don't like how there isnt a charging light on it not even a bright green graphic dot which having the battery icon which turns bright green would be good when charging it too also bixby should be for all samsung devices not just of the more expensive ones too. My last phone was a samsung s8 which lasted me 7+ years so I decided to stick with samsung. So far the battery life is really good I only charge it every other day where the s8 (with it being old) was charged twice per day. I prefer the larger display and don't have to put glasses on to read messages. It was fairly easy to connect to WiFi. Performance wise the A16 seems to be slightly slower than the s8 but nothing to bother about. On thing I do like is this new fangled Ai stuff on the camera where I can erase anything I don't want in a picture.. So far I'm happy with the A16

Overall, I am really pleased with my phone, and it works very efficiently. Takes good photos too! I do get some annoying messages prompting me to log into different accounts at the same time (eg on messaging apps / social media) which I'm not interested in and don't know how to remove, but I guess that may just be standard on a lot of phones now. Also finding that I can't send very long texts, so I may need to send multiple ones to the same person instead, but I'm not sure if that has more to do with the recipient? But the phone connects really well with my fitness tracker app, and my Spotify when in the car (which was never straightforward with my previous phone) and generally speaking I'm very happy with it.

To be honest I'm a bit disappointed . I had an A12 before and decided to change to the A16 as the screen was cracked, the security updates were being withdrawn in January 2025 and I thought it wasn't holding the charge as well as before. I expected the new phone to be faster but there is no difference in performance and I actually seem to be having to charge it more frequently than the old one! This one got a good review in Which? so I went for it but, as I say, I'm distinctly underwhelmed. My husband is also needing a new phone and I wouldn't recommend this one.

I LOVE the photo quality of my images. They are vibrant and full of life, compared to my old phone camera which made my photos look like I had used a filter to achieve an 'aged' look. The phone also has a professional setting for photos which I cannot wait to try out. I am still discovering features about the phone itself but so far I am impressed. In terms of performance tasks are quick and easy to execute. I am sure that I am not fully utilising the features but once I have familiarised myself with them I am sure that I am going to give it a 5 Star rating!

I am loving the new Samsung Galaxy A16. It is comfortable to hold & use. The buttons are in a convenient place unlike some other phones. My husband set it up for me in under two hours as I am a technophobe. The sound quality when making calls or video calls is brilliant with crystal clear sound & display.. The camera gives good, clear photos & internet shopping or online banking is a speedy pleasure on the mobile. The battery does not seem to last longer than 2 days or a little over but the charging is fast. I would definitely have another Samsung in the future.

I wanted a Samsung as I was fed up with how unreliable my Motorola and similar previous mobile was. However, I am very disappointed with the battery, which runs down much faster and is extremely slow to recharge. When writing messages it doesn't always put the word up so I constantly have to check the screen before writing the next word. I use predictive texting, but it's slower to learn than previous cheap phones. The 4g isn't as good, as sometimes I can't connect while other people on my coach (where I work) can connect. Camera is good and clear.

Don't fail me on connection while about and the connectivity is great battery is impressive I've got it on power saving the camera is outstanding because when I was out with my mum I took a picture of a baby wasp while we were eating at McDonald's the performance is extremely nice doesn't slow down or anything like that also the display is jaw dropping I mean come on its like I can do anything without putting any harmful viruses on it! I like the screen, the fingerprint sensor, and the size of the phone. However, I'd been used to an older top of the line phone, and the A16 always feels slow in comparison. There's lag in the response to user input, notably on app switching, on loading the keyboard when selecting a text input box, and when trying to activate speakerphone at the start of a phone call. An even worse performance issue though is when playing games - when an advert plays, sometimes the game relaunches rather than resuming at the end of the app.

I am extremely disappointed with this phone. While the build quality appears to be decent and there are good features, the phone is so slow and laggy, it simply becomes unusable at times. I have modest requirements and minimal apps installed so thought this budget friendly, feature-rich phone would be a good option for me however this is not the case. The performance is frustratingly poor, sometimes there is simply no response to screen touches and gestures. Sorry Samsung, you've lost me as a customer for any of your products.

I bought an A16 to replace an old A12. The screen and camera are better and there are lots of new features that I didn't have on the A12. However, it is slow. It often needs two touches to open apps or use features and it doesn't do multitasking well. If you are listening to music and you open another app, the music stops momentarily. I also get numerous messages to say the phone us running slow and I should reboot. It is also slow connecting to Android Auto. Battery life is also half what tge A12 was. All in all disappointing.

Upgraded from the A14 5G ( which too was a decent handset) and so far I'm beyond impressed, it's quality and performance far exceed what you'd expect for the cost. The screen is bright with impressive colour depth and animations are smooth. Battery lasts around a day with fair usage, and charges relatively quickly, the camera takes decent photos. The lack of a 3.5mm jack is a bit annoying as I have a 3.5mm jack to 2 RCA aux cable for my HiFi so I had to purchase an adaptor which is literally the only downside.

Had an issue photographing a laminated A4 she of typing it could not get it, the room lighting was flourecent tubes, a yellow light. But then again i dont use the camera much. Keep wanting to try Gemini but keep putting it off. Display is a bugger have to keep pressing think my skin is too dry, was going to put a screen saver on but think that will increase the problem. Its way faster than my A50 but that was 2/3G. Battery seems good only time will tell. Connectivity well i am on O2 and its good signal

I recently purchased this phone and at 1st i was happy with it. But I discovered that I could not get fast charging to work. After some reading, it seemed that the only solution was to preform a system update to UI home 7. (The only reason j di it , That's where it has gone downhill. You've changed and added too many apps, that can't be uninstaller or disabled. Or completely locked out of being able to adjust the privacy settings. So for the operating system I'm now stuck with it hive you one star.

I love the clear display and good camera. Not so happy with the latest software update. I don't like all the apps on one page. Preferred the 2 pages. I don't like the new WhatsApp setup and Meta AI always present on the bottom right of the screen. The battery drains more quickly since applying the latest update. I was disappointed that the A16 doesn't come with a plug for the charging cable. It's a different size of connection which doesn't fit the plug of any previous Samsung phones.

I have had this phone for a little over a month and I am totally displeased with it ,I have owned several Samsung phones and so has my husband and this A16 5g is by far the worst one . It is very slow ,jerky sound is terrible and no head phone jack but the biggest problem I have is the internet it is painfully slow , I have removed my Sim and put it in my old A14 and it flies put it back in the A16 and it barely loads a page .I never thought I would say it but I will never buy a Samsung phone again , I know this is a budget phone and I don't expect all high end performance from it but it is barely usable so I advise if you are looking at purchasing this phone please think it through there are better options however I do like the size but that's about all.I definitely don't recommend this phone.

I brought this phone few months ago it has been really great easy low budget phone use easy and to set up to transferring from old deivce to new device. I Love the fact the phone really fast speeds 5g easy to use. Google wallet is great tap and pay Google pay I use quite often and it has made take more care and responsibility with what i spend I get receipt every time I make purchases and tap with google wallet. Geat phone for some who struggles with FINACES every week highly recommend.

I just tested the camera and saw how it isn't as advertised. deffo not a 50mp camera that can be used as normally would. not allowed to zoom have go down to 13mp. it's very very very laggy phone. I have restart it nearly everyday as it says it will run better it never does its so slow. I woulda gone for the a55 or a56 if I knew the camera was rubbish and how baggy the phone is. my Samsung 8 I've had for 6 yrs and still works better than this but still not well as thays why I needed a new phone. and now I'm out of pocket and stuck with this rubbish.

I have had to buy a couple of cables because I could not load photographs onto my computer and of course the cable connection has changed! I like the display seems a bit clearer and I have also changed the ring tone. There are probably loads more I could use it for but I am happy with the phone, camera, and texting. Very average, when transferring everything over, all music downloaded from laptop didn't cross over so had download another music app which is very glitchy and stops or slows down, very annoying. Also when you create a story from gallery, say of you holiday you can't share with family which is ridiculous when older models do it, on positive side battery life is great, camera seems good and display is also good, but overall slightly disappointed with phone.

Needed an upgrade to my phone so opted for Galaxy A16- as one of my grandsons has one and it seem relatively easy to operate. I find it to be an easy to use phone, haven't used all the apps but have found the phone to be good size clear screen, great choice of ringtones , the camera takes decent clear photos and videos. The battery is relatively quick to charge and the overall performance of the phone is excellant compard to my previous phone.

I purchased my Samsung A16 after recommendations from Friends and reading reviews. It's easy to set up and transfer files and pictures from my old phone. Excellent connection speed and better security than my previous phone. Brilliant camera and display and not too expensive. A quality made phone with guaranteed updates. My only criticism is when typing a message you can't switch between letters and numbers, otherwise no complaints.

My first impressions of the Galaxy A16 have been really good. The setup process was simple and quick, which made getting started stress free. The phone is very good and much better then my last one. The camera is amazing, the colour of the phone is very nice. The battery is good and I don't have any problems with that. Although I feel that the phone itself is slow, if I click out of an app and click onto another it would take a while. I don't know if thats because I have too much storage or apps I'm not sure. Overall I think the phone is very good.

Battery, camera, display all good. Connectivity good where signal strength allows. Performance disappointing at times - it has a tendency to crash after a few minutes playing a particular game, which never used to happen on my previous Samsung phone. In theory there is more memory, but you wouldn't know it. Having the fingerprint reader on the right hand side makes it difficult for the left handed person.

Worst phone I've ever had: when taking a photo it crashes my other apps running at the same time (Strava and sometimes Spotify), The camera is also incredibly slow and takes several seconds to take and save a photo. The battery is also very poor and runs out incredibly quickly. I have always had entry level Samsung phones and have always been really happy with them. Not sure I would get a Samsung again.

Downgraded to a cheap basic phone after a disappointing experience with a Z Fold, where the inside screen stopped working very soon after the warranty expired, & the repair cost was astronomical, so I used it as a sub standard small screen phone for two more years while I paid it off. This phone is very bottom of the range & has half the storage of the previous phone so it's taking soe getting used to.

I set the alarm to ring at 5am every morning no matter what. Within the first week, i woke up early & was checking my email, etc and noticed it was after 5am. The alarm did NOT sound. So disappointing. Second, when i type, the cursor jumps around into previous words already typed, making a mess. The spacebar is not slways recognized, also. I havent even had this a month, and i regret buying it.

I am getting on very well with my new A16 apart from the battery life, I don’t use my phone that much and the battery in my previous A21 lasted for days, up to a week but with my A16 I seem to be charging it all the time even when I’m not using it for calls, texts or the Internet. I don’t know if there is anything in the background draining the battery but it isn’t what I would call a great experience

Camera of A165G is very worst. I never seen suchanya bad camera of any sub standard brand. Very unfortunate samsung like company selling, using such camera in A16 5G mobile. Photo looks like fake edited with bad camera apps. standard .Actually rear camera is in zero performances. I highly recommended to all they should not waste their money to buy this phone. You will be cheated by samsung company.

Battery life seems fine but then, it is fairly new. The display is OK with a decent-sized screen. Front and rear cameras appear to produce decent pictures. The main thing that lets it down is the RAM. Sure, it can be switched between 2 and 4 gig of RAM but never have I ever had a phone which prompts you to restart it as the performance has slowed! It really lets this phone down which is a real shame.

The display which indicates how much charge is left on the phone is not clear, difficult to see. The plug gets very hot when charging the phone and is quite slow to charge. The person in the shop where I purchased the mobile found it very difficult to transfer all my photos to this new mobile. Eventually when transferred they all had the same date on them. The date of phone renewal. Not happy!

It's a good phone, however I have found that I have problems with connecting this phone to my car to play music! It keeps losing connection, yet my previous phone model (the one before) seemed to work better! Don't know why? I dislike this phone so much I would never recommend it. And it has put me off ever buying a Samsung phone again. My old Moto G play was so much more functional , easier to use, with better quality displays and the quality of the camera is not good. Everything about it is frustrating to use even down to using the phone. I don't even use this to stream or for gaming. It's not worth the money.

I switched temporarily as my flip 5 broke and the phone works, it is just incredibly slow and freezes when typing even remotely quick. Not to mention it takes me a solid 30 seconds to answer any call as the phone needs time to catch up. The battery also drains extremely quick but charging is fairly fast . The camera is good and the general display is good if you ignore the performance issues.

I had an A13, but as it was a few years old, the battery was not lasting as long as it used to. I "upgraded" to an A16. I don't think it's much of an upgrade as the battery doesn't last much longer than the one on my old A13. I am also not overly impressed by the lack of headphone socket as I can no longer attach my phone to my mixing desk. It's also more than doubled the monthly bill!

Had my A16 5G just over a month now and really love it! Great screen, decent camera and a battery that easily lasts all day. I've had flagship mobiles in the past and frankly, the A16 5G is all I really need. The fact that it really didn't cost that much at all, means that I'm not stressed out if I drop or mislay it, so definitely a win in that regard. Highly recommended!

It's basic facilities are good but it is slow, the touch screen is strange, if I try to open an app sometimes it will move it around the screen, very annoying, sometimes there is a delay with doing things, the clock is too small. No headphone socket - bit of a nuisance. Cannot connect to my car for Google maps via Android Auto - says Video Flow is not activated. I've tried all the remedies suggested online and Peugeot dealer has also tried. This is s BIG inconvenience. Otherwise much the same as my old A12 (which connected to car for maps easily). Not impressed. Advice would be appreciated.

I bought this phone a month ago and so far its an amazing everyday phone. It is sometimes a bit laggy when opening apps, but overall majority of the time its is very effiviently running. The 50MP camera is good but when you zoom in a bit the photos look like they have been painted with a brush. The photo refresh rate is great. The display under sunlight is also very good, you can easily see your acreen even in the worst scenarios of direct sun light. The battery life is amazing, after a whole days use im still at 55%! The finger print sensor on the volume side of the phone is very sensitive and accurate. Once you get the phone, the phone will take some time getting use to everyday conditions e.g. I tried using spotify while using google maps, the music kept cutting out. But about 2 weeks later the music sounded clear, so bear that in mind Overal I think Samsung has done a great job with a very simple, cost effective smart phone.

The phone is easy to set up and use, the logic in the controls is simple and easily remembered. The screen is clear. The camera images equally clear and concise with the zoom particularly easy to use. Being of an age where sausage fingers come as standard increasing the font size to a sensible size is great. The A16 seems to do what it wants, far too confusing for an older person. I tried to pair my Samsung fit3 watch to the new A16 phone, the watch is now as dead as a doornail and completely unuseable.

The switch to a new phone wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be. Only thing I would change is the answering system. On my old phone the answering buttons were at the side and centre foot of the screen. This one has the button on the side if the phone and it us unreachable when the phone us in a case. I have difficulty with the swipe method.

Mostly perfect however when swiping on the screen the motion freezes for example when you sometimes change direction quickly it stutters for a second however the is fine it alters some gaming performance. The camera is lush. Connectivity is sometimes hard to navigate through and I don't like the fact that it doesn't have a headphone jack.

Very happy so far, the camera and display are fantastic, and I'm happy with the performance speed and connectivity. The Samsung specific layout took me a while to get used to, and I felt some customization processes were unnecessarily complicated. The battery does run down quicker than I expected, but I do use the device a lot in fairness.

For the price it's a really good phone. The battery seems to last a lot longer than all my previous phones. The camera takes great photos which are easily edited. The sound is nice and clear, and the display is sharp crisp. Connecting to the Internet is easy and reliable. Overall performance is pretty good so far. Yeah pretty nice phone.

When you are offered an upgrade to an A16 with EE from an A53 when the screen stopped working. This phone is a backward step! Camera does not have half the additions the previous had. Phone overheats and screen freezes. Very poor Samsung and only 3 months into a 3 year contract. Any advice regarding all of the mentioned problems?

This is the easiest phone I have used for a long time. Simple buttons lead to more information when needed and lovely ring tones to choose from. The battery lasts a long time. Slow reaction time to touch. Performance slow. Battery life poor, often needs charging on same day. Screen brittle, broke on first day after a <1m fall onto wooden floor. Connectivity poor, takes a long time to show WiFi connections and takes a long time to show reveal itself as a hot-spot. My previous A53 was much better

The back of the phone is a glossy plastic, especially the black color can scratch with minimal use, and if you don't use a case it will get extremely scratched. My only concern, and this will be a problem with any mobile, is various messages appear such as updates etc and I'm always concerned about whether they are genuine or if I'm giving a third party access to my phone.

My only gripe is that since getting this phone I have been inundated with spam,fraud and telemarketing phone calls. I have refused to answer them and blocking these numbers is quite easy.

The phone looks great, the camera is not the best but I knew that, but now it takes me a few tries every time I press my finger to unlock it or tap the screen to enter my pin (i have to tap it lots) It didn't do well with the hot weather i think as it was overheating a lot, it runs smoothly otherwise

I have had This phone for over a year and it has been great, it can handle gaming, light photography and even video editing. Something i loved about it was the 6.5" OLED screen making all the colours pop. no matter where i am i can always get high speed connection and the battery can last for days.

Found it really difficult to use after my Motorola. Had trouble getting the settings to give me what I wanted. Had trouble answering phone as it kept going to voicemail. Had to go back to EE shop to get ring time extended as I couldn't find a way to do that myself. Otherwise it's not too bad.

I like the extra functionality of this phone, compared to my old one. I like the connectivity between other devices, like my PC. I have had Spotify set up and this is going to be a joy. The quality of the pictures is very pleasing. I like the photos that are selected for me, before I log in!

It's an okay device. My main gripe is that text messages quite often don't get delivered and the phone needs to be restarted to send them. I have never had this issue with Samsung phones before, so assume either there is a fault with the phone or the messages app has issues with this model.

I probably like the screen best as I can see it a lot more clearly than my oppo. However, I might be going deaf but I sometimes don't hear the phone even when it's on its loudest ringtone. Overall, I haven't changed my phone for many improvements . It takes longer to charge the battery too.

I'm a Samsung man from way back always loved them. For the last 10 years I tried other phones. Gone back to Samsung now. They just feel nice. Smooth in the hand. Great speed for everything I do. Just a nice inexpensive phone. I will eventually upgrade soon. But for now I love this phone.

Love my new Samsung a16 5g. Replaced my Samsung a22 5g. Lots of features. Updates for 6 years. Battery life ok. I use my phone for social media and watching films on. Love that it's a larger screen. 6.7 in. Camera is decent IMHO.I don't dislike anything on this phone. Excellent value 👏

I am finding it shocking various apps I am unable to delete or shut down which are trying to take over the running of my new mobile. Constantly getting messages about apps wanting to take over messaging or Internet. Trying to turn off notifications but keep getting them. Not happy at all.

Atrocious battery life, its glitchy and slow, rather disappointed as my A12 was much better. Was an utter pain to set up as the app to transfer data/settings etc needed an update which it couldn't do until it'd done the set up, had to take it to a phone shop to get sorted. Camera good.

Camera ok in good light portrait mode poor in bad light or indoor. Performance is hot and miss. Keep getting message out of service all the time. Unfortunately I had galaxy ultra before this and superb all round but I know a6 for the money is what you get for value the phone is fine
