[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Okay so I need to talk about my Galaxy Z Fold 8, because switching over from my Pixel 7 Pro has genuinely been a lightbulb moments. I loved my Pixel 7 Pro, don't get me wrong. It took gorgeous photos with zero effort and the software just worked. But after a few years with it, everything started to feel... small. Reading client emails, editing gallery proofs on the go, even just scrolling through Instagram to check my Off Script posts, I kept wishing the screen was bigger. Turns out I just needed it to actually get bigger. The fold is the whole thing Opening this phone up into a mini tablet has completely changed how I work between shoots. I can pull up a client's proof gallery, look at two images side by side, and actually see the details instead of squinting and pinching to zoom like I did on the Pixel. Editing on the go, replying to booking enquiries with the keyboard split across both sides, it just feels like a proper little workstation in my bag. Camera I was worried I'd miss the Pixel's camera, because honestly it set a high bar for me as a photographer. But the Z Fold 8 has held its own: colours are rich, low light is solid, and being able to use the cover screen as a viewfinder for selfies with the main cameras is such a nice touch I didn't know I needed. One UI vs stock Android This was the biggest adjustment. Stock Android on the Pixel was clean and simple, no arguments there. One UI took me a minute to get used to, but now that I've got it set up the way I like, I actually prefer it. Multitasking two apps side by side, dragging a photo straight from my gallery into an email, dragging and dropping between split screens, it makes the Pixel feel a bit one-note in hindsight. Everyday stuff Battery life has genuinely surprised me, easily getting me through a full shoot day. The hinge feels solid, not flimsy like I half expected going in. And there's something satisfying about closing it shut like a little book when I'm done for the day. Durability and speed I'll admit the hinge worried me more than anything before I bought it, visions of dust getting in or it feeling wobbly after a few months. But, it snaps open and shut with confidence, the screen doesn't show any creasing that bothers me when I'm actually using it and just feels tougher in the hand than I expected from something that folds in half. Speed-wise it's noticeably snappier than the Pixel ever was, even towards the end when the Pixel started lagging on me during multitasking. Switching between apps, flicking through big photo files, having three things open at once, none of it makes the Fold break a sweat. It just keeps up. Would I go back? Honestly, no. The Pixel 7 Pro was a brilliant phone and I have zero regrets about the years I spent with it. But the Z Fold 8 feels like it was actually built for how I work: client galleries, editing, juggling ten conversations at once, not just for taking a nice photo and scrolling. It's the first phone in a long time that's changed how I actually use it, not just what it looks like doing it.

Upon opening, the hinge feels like its durability will last the distance. Once set up, which is a breeze, both screens are extremely responsive. The longevity of the battery is looking excellent. I have had Samsung phones for many years, but this is most definitely my favorite. In short, if anyone is thinking about taking the plunge with this phone, I can only advise you to do so immediately; you will not be disappointed. Absolutely fantastic phone. I am not tech savvy but always wanted a better phone and from Samsung A12 to Fold 8 is a huge improvement finally. Battery seems to be depleting rather quickly for a new phone but might be my usage since I am in love with it It is quite responsive and quick to load sites and videos. As for durability and the hinges and the fold of the screen remain to be seen..

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always been a fan of Samsjng products and currently own a Samsung TV, Tab S10 Ultra (my 'daily workhorse), Galaxy Book5 Pro 360 (lovely bit of kit this!) and have just recently bought the Z Fold 8 (I was considering getting the ZFold 8 Ultra instead 9fantastic specs especially camera wise) but wanted something a little more portable/pocketable and loved the unique form factor of the Z Fold 8). The battery and screen on the ZFpld 8 are very good and the powerful processor and generous memory specs mean that it's super responsive no matter what tasks I throw at it. I particularly like the fact that everything works in unison with each other two enabling me to hop from one device to another with ease, hook the Tableg or TV up as a second screen and even use the Z Fold 8 to 'control other devices' using the Samsung 'infrastructure'.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Introduction: I have been using the Samsung Galaxy Fold 8 for 2 weeks now and I have enjoyed every day of using it. Here are my thoughts on the phone. Positives: The short wide form factor display is compact, durable protected against dirt and debris and well built quality with a responsive screen for viewing more content and multitask with a nice 50/50 split with 3 applications. The applications open quickly with no lagging and watching videos on the 7.6 inch screen is fantastic. I found that the battery lasted typically a day and half with maximum protection enabled. Using it for productivity was great with the built-in scanner and AI tools. In particular, the Good luck application offered plugins to customize the fold 8 to for optimum performance and productivity. Negatives: I noticed that the phone snaps fully open or shuts instead of holding at around 50% angles because the hinge lacks the resistance needed to prop the phone open like a mini-laptop. In addition, flex mode panel settings are missing. The phone is slightly too wide for my small hands however I was able to use the Good luck application and the gestures to enable easy reachability on the front screen. In the next update of the phone I suggest that Samsung reduces the bezels and thickness of the phone. Conclusions: The Galaxy fold 8 new form factor is a well built phone with a video-friendly display with excellent battery life, quick performance, and helpful AI features. This is now my main and only phone at least until the next upgrade in 2027.

This is my first foldable device and to be honest, I've been reluctant to make the switch but boy am I glad I did. The cover display on its own is so useful, I find I use it for every day stuff like emails and answering messages. But when I want to do a bit more, I open the phone and use that amazing large screen. That hinge mechanism is a thing of beauty! Battery life has been solid and is getting better each day as the phone optimises things. On my third charge I had about 35% left at the end of the day. Performance wise, the responsiveness of the display and OneUI is so slick and speedy. Awesome. My one remaining question mark is over durability but that will be answered in the time to come. The device certainly feels solid so I am expecting good things.

The full back display and cameras being on the same surface allows for photography moments that no other smartphone series does. The Z Flip8 feels lighter and yet more durable than it's predecessors and after double checking right now... The main screen 'crease' is nowhere to be seen. The only place where the phone feels lacking is it's battery performance. It lasts noticeably longer than my previous Z Fold 7, and I rarely have to worry about running out of battery during the day. I also really like the new anti-reflective coating on the display. It makes a noticeable difference, especially when using the phone outdoors or under bright lighting, and the screen looks fantastic. But probably my favourite thing about the Z Fold 8 is simply taking it out with me. The white version looks incredibly clean and premium, and I’m honestly surprised by how often people ask me what phone I’m using. Almost every time I go out, someone notices it or asks about it because they think it looks beautiful and unique. It might sound like a small thing, but I genuinely enjoy that feeling. The flip felt too small and I have been an Ultra girl since the note series. This phone ferls great in my hand. It feels like a mini book or even like a compact mirror. The screen is responsive. When opened the screen is amazing! Watching Netflix and YouTube on this is seriously impressive. When I want to play games I open it up and now I have a tablet, it really blew my expectations out of the water. I really like that the finger print reader is in the power button it makes more sense to have it there. This phone is way louder than my s26 was. The compact size of this phone when closed should be the new standard, it just feels more natural. I dont see myself ever going back to a candy bar shaped phone ever again.

It is the ultimate daily driver. I use my phone alot to watch movies, YouTube videos, and for reading. Reading on this phone is so comfortable on both the inner and outer displays. I find that in using the inner display alot more than I did on my previous fold because the new dimensions make it feel so much better in my small hands Also, the phone is just beautiful. I love that videos take up the whole screen on the outer display and the brightness on this phone makes everything look sharper.

I ended up returning the Razr for software alone. One UI is incredible and the Z Fold 8 is like having 3 devices in one. I rarely take photos but it's strange Samsung purposely set up a gen 2 with upgraded cameras. Keep us loyal at the onset! This device is amazingly light, strong, last long, has amazing screens, so easy and fun to use. Finally a phone is fun again! I got so sick and bored of the slabs and remote style. This for. The phone is the exact size of a Travel passport albeit a few mm thicker. I can hold the phone in my back pocket without it sticking out. I like that I can do most of my tasks using the apps on the cover screen because of the larger size. The rest of the phone features are what Samsung is known for. As for any negatives, I have owned previous Samsung Galaxy Z Flip and Fold phones versions and have had cover screen and screen issues. Hopefully Samsung has figured out to avoid the problem in it's 8th version of the phones.

In addition, the half folds (L shape) or tent fold (A Shape), don't seem to work that well. It actually measure up well next to my Fold 3, so I turn it long ways to type better, as the wide screen makes the keyboard too long for me. I also miss the full size of the cover screen. It severely displaced my home screen and spit the icons up weirdly over the other panels. Like the left over icons from panel 1, didn't simply get pushed to panel 2? The Fold8 makes life much easier: - small, thin and lightweight: it easily fits in a jeans pocket - great for watching YouTube and reading books - the hinge is less visible than on my wife’s Flip6 - the standing case is excellent for hands-free content viewing It’s not ideal, though: - the camera is visibly worse than on the S26 Ultra - some apps cut off content because of the folded display’s unusual width - it looks fragile and might be very expensive to repair after a fall

The large inner screen feels almost like a small tablet, which makes reading, browsing the web, checking messages and multitasking much more comfortable than on a regular phone. The design is also very practical because it is still compact enough when folded. The only downside I have noticed so far is that when using the front screen, some apps can be a bit slow to respond. Occasionally I have had to close the app and reopen it to make it work properly again. Hopefully this can be improved with future software updates. Apart from that, the phone is excellent and the big screen experience is really impressive.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had a Z fold in my hands for the last 6 years or so. I chose the Z Fold 8 because of the updated aspect ratio. The previous folds have been great for the multitasking aspect, however the new media focused format is up my alley. My favorite thing to do is head to lunch and prop up my z fold on the carbon standing case and catch up on my shows. This fold feels a lot more functional for my media consumption with both the inside and outside screen. The outside screen is just large enough to maximize screen real estate but also be one hand type-able. Fold 8 beats my previous Folds in my opinion.

I have got the s25 ultra, its absolutely amazing, honestly I was considering the 17pro max, pixel 10 pro xl, and the s25 ultra for over 3 months, and did lots of comparisons, all were good products, but by far the s25 ultra blows everything out of the water, its the king of all phones.
