Promising STEM Innovation
400 schools will win $1,000 in prizes for demonstrating outstanding potential with their STEM innovation.
Semi-Finalists
100 Semi-Finalists will be named, with 90 schools earning $10,000 in prizes and 10 moving to the next round.
National Finalists
10 National Finalists will be invited to an in-person pitch event, with seven teams earning $50,000 in prizes for their schools.
National Winners
Three National Winners will win $100,000 in prizes for their schools.
Employee Choice Award
Samsung employees will select one school to win an additional $10,000 in prizes.
Community Choice Award
One school selected by online public voting will earn an additional $10,000 in prizes.

Open call: Students answer five easy questions about their idea, and a teacher submits the entry.
Semi-Finalist phase
3-minute video
December 3 - January 21
Teams submit a 3-minute project video that brings their ideas to life.
Finalist phase
1 presentation
February 11 - March 12
Teams prepare to present live in front of judges in hopes of being named a National Winner.
