Adjusting the Dynamic Range Control Setting on Your Smart Media Player

  1. Press The Menu button on the Set Top Box (STB) remote.                 

  2. Swipe to the right with the navigation arrows on the STB remote and highlight Settings.                        

  3. Press the Enter key to enter the Settings Menu.                      

  4. Press the Down navigation arrow on the STB remote and highlight Audio.                     

  5. Enter the Audio menu and then press Down to highlight Dynamic Range Control.          

  6. Press Enter to enter into the Dynamic Range Control Menu.              

  7. Use the Up and Down navigation arrows on the STB remote to select your desired option. Press Enter in the center of the navigation arrows to go back to the Audio menu. Press the Exit button on the STB remote to continue using your STB as normal.

    • RF Mode: Compresses the dynamic range of the sound to optimize it for TV speakers.

    • Standard: Reduces the difference between very loud and very quiet sound for a more comfortable listening.

    • Maximum: Lets you experience the original dynamic range of sound transmitted by the cable provider.
