Galaxy Tab S2 - How do I clear the application data/cache on my Samsung Galaxy Tab S2?

If an app on your device is not responding, you can clear the temporary files from the app cache to free up memory. If the app remains unresponsive, or if there is an app you want to reset to factory settings without uninstalling it, you can clear the app data. Clearing app data can also free up memory on your device.

Screens and settings available may vary by wireless service provider and software version.

Clear Application Cache

  1. From the Home screen, touch Apps  > Settings.

  2. Touch Applications  > Application manager.

  3. Swipe to the ALL tab.

  4. Touch the app for which you want to clear the cache.

Clear Application Data

• Clearing app data will reset the app to factory default settings.
• All personal settings, such as bookmarks and saved passwords, will be deleted.

  1. From the Home screen, touch Apps  > Settings.

  2. Touch Applications  > Application manager.
