What should I do if I have an issue adding a payment card to Samsung Pay?

Add a Payment Card to Samsung Pay

Contact the card issuer and verify you are adding an eligible payment card. Some cards from participating banks may not be supported in Samsung Pay. For example, if you have an ATM-only card (this is different from a debit card), you will not be able to add the card to Samsung Pay. Some card issuers may require additional authentication before they can approve the use of your card with Samsung Pay. Only gift cards from merchants who have partnered with Samsung Pay can be added. Check the list of merchants in the related answers below to see which gift cards are supported.

Samsung Pay also requires an active internet connection when adding a payment card or gift card. Verify you are connected to the internet via a Wi-Fi network or your mobile data connection.
