Take Screenshots on Your Galaxy Note Pro 12.2

A screenshot is a snapshot of your device screen that is saved as a photo. There are several ways to capture screenshots on your device. Screenshots are automatically saved to the Screenshots folder in the Gallery, as well as to the clipboard.

Screens and settings available may vary by wireless service provider and software version.

Capture Using Device Keys

You can capture a screenshot by simultaneously pressing the Home key and the Power/Lock key on your device until a white border flashes around the edges of the screen.

Capture Using a Palm Swipe

  1. From the Home screen, touch Apps.

  2. Touch Settings.

  3. Touch the CONTROLS tab.

    To switch to the tab view, touch Menu > Switch to tab view.

  4. Touch Palm motion.

  5. If necessary, touch the slider Off next to Palm motion to turn it on.

  6. Touch the slider Off next to Capture screen to turn it on.

  7. Capture a screenshot by touching the screen with the side of your hand and swiping across from left to right, or vice versa.

View a Screenshot

To view a screenshot immediately after you capture it:

  1. Open the Notification Panel by swiping from the top of the screen to the bottom.

  2. Touch Screenshot captured to open the screenshot.

  3. You can also quickly DELETEEDIT, or SHARE the screenshot from the Notification Panel.

   

To view your screenshots at any time:

  1. From the Home screen, touch Apps.

  2. Touch Gallery.

  3. Touch View more and select Albums.

  4. Touch Screenshots.

  5. Touch the desired screenshot.

Share a Screenshot

From the Notification Panel

  1. Open the Notification Panel by swiping from the top of the screen to the bottom.

  2. If necessary, swipe down on Screenshot captured and touch SHARE.

  3. Share the screenshot using one of the available options. Sharing options vary based on applications installed and features turned on.

   

From the Gallery

  1. From the Home screen, touch Apps.

  2. Touch Gallery.

  3. Touch View more and select Albums.

  4. Touch Screenshots.

  5. Touch the desired screenshot.

  6. Touch Share at the bottom of the screen.

  7. Share the screenshot using one of the available options. Sharing options vary based on applications installed and features turned on.

Screenshot Options

  1. From the Home screen, touch Apps.

  2. Touch Gallery.

  3. Touch View more and select Albums.

  4. Touch Screenshots.

  5. Touch the desired screenshot.

  6. When viewing the screenshot, the following options are available at the bottom of the screen:

    The options disappear after 1–2 seconds; touch the screen to display them again.

    • Change player : View the screenshot on a nearby compatible DLNA enabled device.

    • Share via : Share the screenshot using one of the available options. Sharing options vary based on applications installed and features turned on.

    • Delete : Delete the screenshot.

    • Camera : Open the Camera application.

  7. Touch Menu for the following options:

    • Edit: Edit the screenshot.

    • Favorite: Add the screenshot to your Favorites album.

    • Slideshow: Start a slideshow of the screenshots in the folder.

    • Photo Frame: Write on the border around the screenshot.

    • Write on image: Make a note on the "back" of the screenshot.

    • Copy to clipboard: Copy the screenshot to the clipboard so it can be pasted into other applications.

    • Print: Print the screenshot to an available printer using a wireless network, Wi-Fi Direct, or a USB cable.

    • Rename: Rename the screenshot.

    • Buddy photo share: Share the screenshot with anyone tagged in it.

    • Crop: Crop unwanted areas out of the screenshot.

    • Set as: Set the screenshot as a Home and lock screens wallpaper, Home screen wallpaper, Lock screen wallpaper, Contact photo, or Google+ Photos Wallpaper.  

    • Details: View information about the screenshot, such as resolution and file type.

    • Settings: View and edit Gallery settings. View accounts available for syncing with the Gallery, and select when syncing should occur. Turn on face and buddy tagging and access Sound & shot settings.
