Taking a Screenshot on Your Galaxy Tab E NOOK

Capture screenshots using device keys or motion gestures.

Some apps may prevent you from capturing a screenshot.

Capture a Screenshot Using Device Keys

You can capture a screenshot by simultaneously pressing the Home Key and the Power/Lock Key on your device until a white border flashes around the edges of the screen. The screenshot will be copied to the clipboard and saved to the Screenshots folder in the Gallery.

        

Capture a Screenshot Using Motion Gestures

  1. From the Home screen, touch Apps  > Settings > Motions and gestures.

  2. Touch the slider to turn Palm swipe to capture on.

  3. Place the side of your hand on the screen and sweep it across the screen from the right to the left or vice versa to capture a screenshot.

  4. The image is saved in the Gallery > Album > Screenshots folder. After capturing a screenshot, you can edit the image and share it with others. 

Viewing Your Screenshots

  1. From the Home screen, touch Apps > Gallery.

  2. Touch and select Album.

  3. Touch the Screenshots folder.

  4. Touch the desired screenshot.

  • When viewing the screenshot, touch the image for the following options.

    • Favorite: Set image as your Favorite.

    • Share: Share the screenshot using one of the available options. Sharing options vary based on apps installed and features turned on. 

    • Edit: Edit your image with Rotate, Crop, Photo Editor, and Collage. 

    • Delete: Delete the screenshot.

  • Touch MORE for the following options:   

    • Details: See the Date, Location, and Properties of the image. 

    • Slideshow: Start a slideshow of the screenshots in the folder.

    • Move to Private: Hides the image(s) when in Private mode (Private mode must first be enabled). 

    • Set as contact picture: Set the screenshot as a Contact photo.

    • Set as wallpaper: Set the screenshot as Home and lock screens wallpaper, Home screen wallpaper, Lock screen wallpaper.

Share a Screenshot

  1. From the Home screen, touch Apps > Gallery.

  2. Touch and select Album.

  3. Touch the Screenshots folder.

  4. Touch the desired screenshot.

  5. Touch Share.

  6. Share the screenshot using one of the available options. Sharing options vary based on apps installed and features turned on.
