Smart Switch for PC/Mac can't find my backup file

The Smart Switch application will try to automatically locate your old device's backup file. If Smart Switch is unable to locate it on its own, you can manually select the backup file you want to use.

  1. From Smart Switch, select Restore > Change Data to Restore.

  2. Click the Samsung Device Data drop-down and select Manually selected file.

  3. Click Find File.

  4. Browse to the default path folder or to the specific folder in which you chose to save the backup file.

  • Windows® XP: C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Application Data\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
