Smart Switch for PC/Mac can't find my backup file
The Smart Switch application will try to automatically locate your old device's backup file. If Smart Switch is unable to locate it on its own, you can manually select the backup file you want to use.
From Smart Switch, select Restore > Change Data to Restore.
Click the Samsung Device Data drop-down and select Manually selected file.
Click Find File.
Browse to the default path folder or to the specific folder in which you chose to save the backup file.
How to find iPhone backup files on your computer
Be sure your iPhone backup file is saved to your computer and not to iCloud. Below are the default save locations for iPhone backup data.
If creating an iPhone backup file, make sure Encrypt Device is not selected and the backup is saved to your local drive (not to iCloud).
Windows Vista® and Windows 7: C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
Windows® XP: C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Application Data\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
Mac OS® X: /Users/[username]/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup
