Force Reboot Galaxy S6 if the Screen is Frozen

In the unlikely event that your phone becomes unresponsive, you can attempt a force reboot. This will turn your phone off and back on without affecting any data stored on the phone.

Do not attempt to remove the battery from your phone as it may harm the phone and could cause burns or injury.

Force Reboot

Make sure your phone is charged above 5%. If your battery is below 5%, the phone may not turn on after the reboot. If the phone is completely drained, it should be charged for a minimum of 15 minutes using the charger that came with your phone.

To force reboot your phone, press and hold the Volume down and Power key simultaneously for 10 to 20 seconds. This performs a simulated battery disconnect.
