Reset Your 2016 UHD TV to Factory Default Settings

If you're experiencing problems with your TV that you just can't fix, try restoring all TV settings (excluding the Internet and Network settings) to the factory defaults. If you have forgotten your PIN, click here and contact Samsung for more help.

Reset Your 2016 UHD TV to Factory Default Settings

To reset your 2016 UHD TV and return it back to the factory default settings, follow the instructions below.

  1. Press the Home button on your Samsung Smart Remote to access the Home Screen.  

  2. Using the directional pad on your remote, navigate to and select Settings, and then select Support.

  3. Enter in your 4 digit PIN, then select Done. By default your PIN is 0000.  

  4. Select Self Diagnosis, and then select Reset.

  5. Select Yes to continue, and then select OK to complete the reset. Your TV will restart automatically.
