Galaxy Tab S2 - How do I configure the power saving modes on my Samsung Galaxy Tab S2?

Power saving mode conserves battery power by limiting CPU performance, reducing screen brightness, and turning off the touch key light and vibration feedback. You can turn on Power saving mode manually, or you can set your device to go into Power saving mode automatically.

Turn On Power Saving Mode

  1. From the Home screen, touch Apps.

  3. Scroll to and touch Battery.

  5. Touch the slider next to Off to turn Power saving mode on .

  6. Touch Start power saving to choose when you want Power saving mode to take effect.

  7. For this example, select At 20% battery power.

Turn On Ultra Power Saving Mode

Use Ultra power saving mode to switch your device's screen to grayscale and turn off nonessential applications so you get the maximum battery life.

  1. From the Home screen, touch Apps.

  3. Scroll to and touch Battery.

  4. Touch Ultra power saving mode.

  5. Touch the slider next to Off to turn Ultra power saving mode on.

  6. Preselected applications—such as Internet and Calendar—are automatically available in Ultra power saving mode. Touch  to make additional applications available.

Turn Off Ultra Power Saving Mode

  1. From the Home screen, touch MORE.

  2. Touch Turn off Ultra power saving mode.

    To adjust network connections, sound, and display settings in Ultra power saving mode, touch MORE > Settings.

Power Saving Tips

Your device provides options that help you conserve battery power. By customizing these options and turning off features in the background, you can use your device longer between charges:

  • Turn off the Bluetooth® feature.

  • Turn off Wi-Fi®.

  • Turn off the GPS service.

  • Turn off the mobile data connection.

  • Turn off auto-syncing of accounts.

  • Turn off Smart stay.

  • Decrease the backlight time (timeout settings).

  • Decrease the brightness of the display, or use automatic brightness.
