Configuring the Power Saving Modes on Your Galaxy Tab E 8.0

Power saving modes limit your device's performance to conserve battery power. Choose between Power saving mode and Ultra power saving mode. You can turn on Power saving mode manually, or set your device to go into Power saving mode automatically.

Turn On Power Saving Mode

  1. From the Home screen, touch Apps > Settings .

      

  2. Scroll to and touch Battery .

       

      

  3. Touch Power saving mode.

      

      

  4. Touch the slider to turn Power saving mode on .

        

      

  5. Touch Start power saving to choose when you want Power saving mode to take effect.

      

      

  6. For this example, 20% will be selected.

       

      

Power Saving Tips

Ultra power saving mode switches your device's screen to grayscale and turns off nonessential apps.

  1. From the Home screen, touch Apps > Settings .

      

  2. Scroll to and touch Battery .

       

      

  3. Touch Ultra power saving mode.

      

      

  4. Touch the slider to turn Ultra power saving mode on .

        

      

  5. Preselected applications—such as Internet and Calendar—are automatically available in Ultra power saving mode. Touch to make additional applications available.

      

      

Turn Off Ultra Power Saving Mode

    To adjust network connection, sound, and display settings in Ultra power saving mode, touch MORE > Settings.

        

  1. From the Home screen, touch MORE.

        

       

  2. Touch Turn off Ultra power saving mode.

       

      

Power Saving Tips

Your device provides options that help you conserve battery power. By customizing these options and turning off features on the background, you can use your device longer between charges.

  • Turn off the Bluetooth feature.

       

  • Turn off Wi-Fi.

      

  • Turn off the GPS service.

      

  • Turn off the mobile data connection.

       

  • Turn off auto-syncing of accounts.

       

  • Turn off Smart stay.

       

  • Decrease the backlight time (timeout settings).

       

  • Decrease the brightness of the displa, or use automatic brightness.
