How Do I Set Alarms on My Samsung Galaxy S6 Active? (SM-G890A)

Set alarms on your device using the Clock app. Create one-time or repeating alarms, and customize the alarm notifications, including the tone used and interval frequency.

 

Create an Alarm

1. Navigate to Apps > Clock.

2. Touch the ALARM tab.

3. Set the time.

4. Touch the days you want the alarm to repeat.

5. Touch OPTIONS and adjust the following settings:

  • Alarm type: Choose whether the alarm should play a sound, vibrate, or both.
  • Volume: Drag the bar to adjust the alarm volume.
  • Alarm tone: Choose the tone played when the alarm sounds.
  • Snooze: Turn snooze on/off and adjust the snooze number and time intervals.
  • Increasing volume: Turn on/off increasing volume. The alarm will slowly increase in volume for 60 seconds.
  • Alarm name: Enter a name for the alarm.

6. To create the alarm, touch SAVE.

To edit an alarm, touch it in the ALARM tab.

   

Stop or Snooze an Alarm

1. To stop an alarm when it sounds, touch the close icon and swipe left or right.

2. To use the Snooze feature when an alarm sounds, touch SNOOZE. Snooze feature must be turned on in the alarm settings.

Delete an Alarm

1. Navigate to Apps > Clock.

2. Touch the ALARM tab.

3. To turn off an alarm and save it for later use, touch the alarm on/off icon.

4. Touch the close icon on the alarm you want to delete.
