How do I Clear the App Data/Cache on My Samsung Galaxy Tab E? (SM-T560)

If an app on your device is not responding, you can clear the temporary files from the app cache to free up memory. If the app remains unresponsive, or if there is an app you want to reset to factory settings without uninstalling it, you can clear the app data. Clearing app data can also free up memory on your device.

   

Clear App Cache

  1. Navigate to Apps > Settings > Applications.

       

  2. Touch Application manager.

       

       

  3. Touch the app you want to clear the cache for.

       

       

  4. Touch Storage.

       

       

  5. Touch CLEAR CACHE.

       

Clear App Data.

Clearing app data will reset the app to factory default settings. All personal settings, such as bookmarks and saved passwords, will be deleted.

  1. Navigate to Apps > Settings > Applications.

       

  2. Touch Application manager.

       

       

  3. Touch the app you want to clear the data for.

       

       

  4. Touch Storage.

       

       

  5. Touch CLEAR DATA.

       

       

  6. Touch DELETE.
