How do I use the Bluetooth Feature on My Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 NOOK? (SM-T710NZKEBNN)

Bluetooth technology is a wireless connectivity feature that has low power consumption but a short range. You can connect to a variety of Bluetooth enabled devices like wireless speakers, wireless headsets, and other entertainment devices. Using this feature, you can share various types of content with connected devices and even connect to Bluetooth enabled cars.

The Bluetooth communication range is approximately 30 feet.

Connect to a Bluetooth Device

If you are connecting to an older Bluetooth device, you may be asked for a PIN. The default PIN for many devices is four zeros—0000. Some devices have PINs specific to the device. The PIN will be in the device’s documentation.

To connect with a Bluetooth device, Bluetooth must first be turned on in discoverable mode or visible.

  1. Navigate to Apps > Settings > Bluetooth.

  2. To turn on Bluetooth, touch the slider.

You can also turn on your device's Bluetooth transmitter using the Quick Panel shortcut. Open the Notification Panel by swiping down from the top of the screen. Then, touch the Bluetooth icon.

  3. Your device will begin scanning for available Bluetooth devices. After the devices are connected, the devices you selected to pair with will now appear under Available devices.

Make sure the device you are attempting to connect to has been turned on.

  4. Touch the name of the device you want to connect to. If requested, verify the passkey on both devices. Then, touch OK.

Unpair Devices

If the paired device does not appear under the paired devices list, make sure your Bluetooth is on.

  1. Navigate to Apps > Settings > Bluetooth.

  2. Touch the Settings icon next to the name of the device you have selected in the Paired devices list.

  3. To disconnect the device, touch Unpair.

Share Content

Many apps let you share content using Bluetooth.

To share pictures:

  1. After selecting the photo you want to share, touch Share.

  2. Touch Bluetooth.

  3. Touch the device you want to share the file with.

  4. The transfer request needs to be accepted by the receiving device.

Receive Shared Content

  1. When another device attempts to send content to your device, a File transfer request will be displayed. To accept the file transfer, touch ACCEPT. If you do not want to receive the file, touch DECLINE.

  2. If you accept the request, the content will be downloaded and stored on your device in your Gallery and in the My Files apps.

To view the transferred files immediately, open your Notification Panel and touch File Received.
