Using Your Electric Wall Oven (NV51K7770S)

Learn about the features of your electric wall oven.

Before You Begin

  1. Before using your oven for the first time, make sure to clean the interior and exterior thoroughly.


  2. Remove all accessories. Then, set the oven to Bake mode.


  3. Run the oven at 400°F for 1 hour.

    It is normal to smell a distinctive odor. Make sure your kitchen is well ventilated.

Setting the Temperature

• Broil mode can only be set to Hi or Lo.
• Temperature adjustments for Keep warm and Bread proof modes are not available.

Temperature Knob      

• The temperature increases/decreases in increments of 5°F.
• To quickly increase/decrease the temperature, turn and hold the knob until the desired temperature is reached.

  1. To raise the temperature, turn the Temperature knob to the (+) position.



  2. To lower the temperature, turn the Temperature Knob to the (-) position.



Numeric Pad

  1. To set the temperature using the numeric pad, touch the temperature on the display.



  2. Enter the desired temperature. Then, touch OK.



Wheel Picker

  1. To set the temperature using the wheel picker, touch and hold the temperature on the display.



  2. To set the desired temperature, swipe to the desired temperature. Then, touch Set.



Kitchen Timer

The kitchen timer does not start or stop cooking functions. You can use the timer with all oven functions.

How to Set the Timer

  1. Touch the Time icon.



  2. Touch + Add timer.



  3. To set the time, swipe or touch the time. Then, touch Set.

    You can set the time from 1 sec to 24 hr.



  4. Touch Start.

    When the set time has elapsed, the oven will beep.



  5. To pause, reset, or delete the timer, touch the displayed timer.



How to Change Timer Name

  1. Touch the Time icon.



  2. Touch the timer name.



  3. Enter the new timer name. Then, touch SET.



Control Lockout

Control Lockout lets you lock the oven door and the keys on the touch pad. 

Control Lockout is available only if the oven temperature is under 400°F.

  1. Before activating the Control Lockout feature, cancel or turn off all functions if you are running any.


  2. Touch and hold the Settings key for 3 seconds.



  3. To deactivate the Control Lockout feature, touch and hold the Settings key for 3 seconds.

    It may take up to 10 seconds for the door to unlock.



Timed Cooking

You can use timed cooking to cook cured or frozen meats and most fruits and vegetables.

Make sure unrefrigerated and easily spoiled foods are not left in the oven for more than 1 hour before and after cooking.

  1. Turn the Mode knob to the desired cooking operation.



  2. Touch Cook Time.



  3. Set the desired cooking time. Then, touch SET.

    • To enter the desired cooking time using the numeric pad, touch the time.
    • You can set the cooking time from 1 minute to 9 hours and 59 minutes.



Delay Start

In the Delay Start mode, the oven turns on automatically at a time you select in advance. 

  1. Turn the Mode knob to the desired cooking operation.



  2. Touch Delay Start.



  3. To set the desired cooking time, touch the displayed time.

    Current time is displayed at first entry.



  4. Enter the desired delay time. Then, touch OK.



  5. Touch SET.



Cooking Mode

Single Mode

  1. Turn the Mode knob to the desired cooking operation.



  2. Set the desired temperature.



Twin Flex Mode

  1. To use Flex mode, insert the divider (Flex Duo).



  2. To select the compartment you want to use, touch FLEX UPPER or FLEX LOWER. For this example, touch FLEX UPPER.



  3. Turn the Mode knob to the desired cooking operation.



  4. Set the desired temperature. Then, touch START.



  5. To set a cooking operation for Flex Lower, touch FLEX LOWER.



  6. Set the desired cooking operation and temperature. Then, touch START.



Mode Instructions
Bake • Bake is used to bake cakes, cookies, and casseroles. Make sure to preheat the oven first.
• Baking temperatures and times will vary depending on the ingredients and the size and shape of the baking pan used.
• Dark or nonstick coating may cook faster with more browning.
• For performance reasons, the convection fan may turn on/off when bake mode is operating.
Broil • Broiling is used to cook tender cuts of meat by direct heat under the broil element of the oven.
• The high heat cooks quickly and give a rich, brown outer appearance. Broil mode is best for meats, fish, and poultry up to 1 inch thick.
• Always preheat the oven for 5 minutes before broiling.
• Convection bake uses a fan to circulate the oven's heat evenly and continuously within the oven.
• This improved heat distribution allows to cook evenly and gives excellent results while using multiple racks at the same time.
• Convection Roast is good for cooking large tender cuts of meat, uncovered.
• The convection fan circulates the oven's heat evenly creating a rich, golden brown outside while the inside is moist and tender.
Convection Broil • A fan in the rear of the oven circulate the oven’s heat while broiling.
• During convection broiling, the broil element will cycle on/off in intervals to maintain oven temperature.
Bread Proof • A temperature adjustment is not needed. It automatically provides
the best temperature for the bread proof process.
• For the best result, start bread proof when the oven cools down.‘Hot’ will appear on display when the oven temperature is above 100°F.
Keep Warm • Cooked food can keep warm for serving up to 3 hours after cooking
has finished.
• You can set this mode to activate after a timed or delayed timed
cooking operation.
• Do not use this mode to reheat cold food.
