Cleaning Your FlexWash™ Washer (WV60M9900)

While we are naturally drawn to shiny things, cleaning your washer isn't just something you do because you like to see it sparkle. There are real benefits to cleaning your washer regularly. Keeping it clean will prevent odor and bacterial overgrowth.

Cleaning the Outside of the Washer

Cleaning the outside of the washer is very simple. The doors, inner cover, and the detergent compartments can all be cleaned with non-abrasive liquid cleaners and a soft, damp cloth.

●Clean with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive substances.
●Do not spray liquid cleaning agents directly on the display of the washer.
●Some laundry pre-treatment soil and stain removers may damage the feature panel.
●When using liquid cleaning agents, apply them to the cleaning cloth. Do not apply them directly to the washer. Wipe up any spills or overspray immediately.

Cleaning the Interior of the Upper Washer

●Clean with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive substances.
●Do not spray liquid cleaning agents directly on the display of the washer.
●Some laundry pre-treatment soil and stain removers may damage the feature panel.
●When using liquid cleaning agents, apply them to the cleaning cloth. Do not apply them directly to the washer. Wipe up any spills or overspray immediately.

  1. Open the top door, and then open the protective (inner) cover.

  2. Wipe away any stains from the tub.

  3. Remove the lint filter from the filter case on the tub, which is located on the inner side of the tub.

We recommend cleaning the lint filter at least every 10 washes.

  4. Open the filter, and clean it with running water and a brush.

  5. After cleaning, close the filter and reinsert it into the filter case.

You will hear a clicking sound when the filter is inserted correctly.

Cleaning the Interior of the Lower Washer

Bacteria, mold, and mildew love to colonize dark, damp environments. Avoid bacteria and mildew overgrowth by using a dry cloth to wipe away any residual water from the drum and door's diaphragm after every cycle. A dry washer is a clean washer!
