Clear App Cache/Data

If an app on your device is not responding, you can clear the temporary files from the app cache to free up the memory. If the app still remains unresponsive, you can clear the app data. Clearing the app data can also free up your memory space. By using this function, you do not have to uninstall an app or reset your device to factory settings when an app is unresponsive.

  1. Navigate to Apps > Settings.

  2. Touch Apps and then select the desired app.

  3. Touch Storage.

  4. To clear the cache, touch CLEAR CACHE.

  5. To clear the data, touch CLEAR DATA.

Clearing data will reset the app to the factory default settings. Any personal settings saved on the app will be removed.

  6. To confirm, touch DELETE.
