Registering Fingerprints on Your Galaxy Tab S2
Use Fingerprint recognition as an alternative security method to entering passwords. To use Fingerprint recognition, your fingerprint information needs to be registered and stored on your device. You can register up to three fingerprints. A password is also set up as an alternative to your fingerprint.
Navigate to Apps > Settings.
Touch Search, then search for and select Fingerprints.
You must set a Pattern, PIN, or Password to protect your fingerprints. For this example, touch PIN.
Create a back-up PIN of 4-16 digits and then touch CONTINUE.
Enter the PIN again and then touch OK.
Lift your finger when the device vibrates, and then place it on the Home key again. Repeat this action using the same finger until the fingerprint is registered.
Choose the display options for notifications on the lock screen. You can choose to have the notification content show on the lock screen or show only notification but hide the content. If you don't want either, choose Do not show notifications. Touch DONE when finished with selection.
