Load Your Dishwasher Properly for Better Washing Performance
Believe it or not, there is a correct way to load your DW80M2020 dishwasher. Loading it properly ensures optimal washing performance.
Loading Your Dishwasher
Loading the Lower Rack
The lower rack is designed for large items such as dinner dishes, plates, pots and pans. When loading the plates, make sure there is breathing room in between the plates for water to penetrate. Load pots and pans or any dishes that can hold water upside down. Learn more about Loading the Lower Rack and the Cutlery Rack.
Loading the Upper Rack
The upper rack has been designed for small plates, mugs, glasses, and dishwasher safe plastic items. When loading the dishes, pull the upper rack out sufficiently and start loading in two half rows. Let the open sides of the plates at the center of the dishwasher face each other as the below image indicates. Avoid double stacking plates as it can restrict water flow.
Make sure the loaded dishes do not interfere with the rotation of the nozzle which is located at the bottom of the upper rack. Check this by rotating the nozzle before the running the dishwasher.
Using the Glass Support
Use the glass support to load delicate glasswares. Simply hang your glasses on the pegs of the glass support. When not in use, easily fold them back to make room for other items.
Using the Cutlery Rack
For heavily soiled utensils or items with baked on foods, use the Cutlery Rack for more effective cleaning. Place each knife, spoon, or fork separately into the placement stand.
