Remove an Account on Galaxy S6 edge and S6 edge+

You can remove accounts you no longer use or don't want associated with your phone. Just remember: after an account has been removed, you will not have access to any of your data. So don't make the decision lightly! Conversely, learn how to Add an Account.

Remove an Account

Did you start using a new email address? Remove your old account so you can keep up with your current contacts. We'll walk you through it step by step.

  1. Navigate to Apps > Settings.  

  2. Touch Search, then search for and select Cloud and accounts.  

  3. Touch Accounts.

  4. Touch the account you want to remove.   

  5. Touch More Options.   

  6. Touch Remove account.   

  7. To confirm the removal, touch REMOVE ACCOUNT.   

    Accounts may require you to input the account information ID and password.
