Turn Auto Rotate On or Off on Galaxy S6 Active

Auto Rotate uses an internal sensor to detect the rotation of your phone. If you're using your S6 Active while lying down, turn off Auto Rotate to keep the screen from flipping every time you move.

The available screens and settings may vary by wireless service provider and software version.

Auto Rotate

  1. To open the Notification Panel, swipe down from the top of the screen.

  2. To display all of the Quick Settings, swipe down from the top of the screen again.

  3. Touch the Auto rotate icon in the Quick Settings Panel to turn off.

Depending on the screen orientation when touching Auto rotate, the icon changes the screen to either Landscape or Portrait.
