Find the Correct Charger for Your Galaxy Tab S3 (Verizon)

Your tablet is powered by a rechargeable, standard Li-lon battery. A travel adapter wall charger USB-C (charging head and USB cable) is included with the tablet for charging the battery from any standard outlet.

Purchase an Adaptive Fast Charging Wall Charger.

Best Practices for Battery Charging

DO NOT use any other device charger. If you need to use and charge the tablet at the same time, you must use the Samsung wall charger that came with your tablet. The Samsung wall charger is required in order to properly charge your tablet. Using a third-party charger can hinder the charging of your tablet and may cause battery issues if used long term. The picture above is the charger for your tablet. This charger is 5.0V/2.0A and has SAMSUNG printed on it.

When charging your tablet, please keep in mind that the use of uncertified or counterfeit charging accessories (e.g., chargers, wireless charging pads, cables, USB-C adaptors, etc.) may cause safety issues that result in product damage.  We strongly recommend that you use genuine Samsung accessories.

If you don't have access to the factory wall charger, you can charge the tablet using the USB connection on your PC, but the tablet will require twice as much time to charge.

If your tablet won't charge, follow these steps:

  1. Connect and charge the tablet using the factory wall charger for about an hour.

The battery charging indicator may take up to 10 minutes to appear on the tablet's screen.

  2. Disconnect the tablet and then attempt to turn it on by holding the Power key down until the Samsung logo appears.

  3. If the tablet turns on, it needs to be charged. Turn off the tablet and reconnect it to the factory wall charger for an additional 6 hours.

  4. If the tablet fails to turn on, it may require service. Please complete a Service Request.

How to Tell if Your Charger is Genuine

Follow the guide below to make sure that your charger is authentic:

  • The Samsung logo at the top of the charger should be printed on (not on a sticker), neat, and straight. Raised ink is also used, you can feel it by running your finger over the logo.

  • The information printed on the back of the charger is similar to the logo at the top. Check for any typos, running ink, or varying font sizes.

  • Look for the UL logo on the back of the charger. UL is a safety testing laboratory and all Samsung-approved chargers will have their logo printed on.

  • There should be no raised edges or defects. Make sure to examine the edges, corners, and the USB port closely.
