Comfort Drying

Comfortably cool

Comfort Drying for Cold-free Dehumidification

Enjoy comfortable dehumidification without feeling cold. Dry Comfort mode jointly analyzes the temperature and humidity using sensors and dehumidifies without overcooling by using fine-tuning technology to control the refrigerant flow rate. So it is ideal when sleeping or in the rainy season. With AI Fast & Comfort Cooling, Dry Comfort automatically maintains a comfortable temperature and humidity for you.

Reduces energy use

Comfort Drying for Energy Saving

Save energy dehumidifying. Dry Comfort mode just cools part of the Heat Exchanger, and only creates the amount of cold air needed for dehumidification. By only using the Heat Exchanger and compressor as much as necessary, it reduces energy use by more than 30%* compared to conventional systems.

Avoid feeling dry

Humidity Comfort Zone

Maintain the desired temperature without being uncomfortably dry. Dry Comfort mode controls the temperature and humidity to maintain a comfortable humidity of 30-60% without it feeling cold. And you can monitor the humidity on the SmartThings App*.

As rain falls outside, the indoor unit releases airflow that keeps the indoor humidity comfortable. In Dry Comfort Mode (New), air with 80% humidity and 27°C is controlled to 58% humidity and 26°C, entering the comfort zone. In Dry Mode (Conventional), the temperature drops to 23°C to maintain 58% humidity, but does not reach the humidity comfort zone. This is shown in a graph. WindFree™

Stay comfortably cool

WindFree™ Cooling

Stay cool without feeling cold draft using WindFree™ Cooling. An advanced air flow structure gently and evenly disperses air through 23,000 micro air holes covering the entire front panel. It creates a “Still Air” environment* with a very low air speed, so there is no unpleasant feeling of cold wind.

* ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers) defines “Still Air” as air currents at speeds below 0.15m/s that lack the presence of cold drafts.

Enjoy a good sleep

WindFree™ Wearable Good Sleep

Enjoy a good night’s sleep. A WindFree™ Wearable Good Sleep mode links to wearable smart devices*, like the Galaxy Watch and Ring. If they detect that you are asleep, it automatically turns on WindFree™ Cooling and adjusts the cooling performance to create the ideal climate for a deep and pleasant sleep**.

* It can be used when linking a Samsung smartphone with Samsung software One UI version 4.0 or later and a wearable device that supports Wear OS: Galaxy Watch 4 or later, Fit 3 or later, Galaxy Ring.

Stable and durable

Triple Protector Plus

Enjoy a long-lasting performance in challenging environments. Triple Protector Plus technology prevents damage from power surges and fluctuating electrical currents, without a separate voltage stabilizer*. Its anti-corrosion coating also protects the condenser and cabinet in harsh conditions.

* Based on internal testing on the AR12TXEAAWKNEU model compared with the Samsung conventional model AS18FCMID.

Corrosion-resistant

Coated Copper Tube* (Only India)

Enjoy a long-lasting and consistent performance. The Heat Exchanger’s coated copper tubes have 7.5x better corrosion resistance*, protecting it against harmful environmental conditions, like dust and pollutants. So the indoor unit will work reliably for a long time and needs less maintenance.

* Based on testing by TUV Rheinland in accordance with the ASTM G85 Annex A3 modified-SWAAT test, compared to the non-coated copper tube. The level of corrosion resistance is based on the reduction rate of the copper tube’s thickness. The original thickness of each copper tube was 206㎛. After 40 days, the coated copper tube was 186㎛ thick and the non-coated copper tube was 52㎛ thick.

Stay cool when hot

Cool Even at 58°C (Only India)

Stay cool in extremely hot weather. The Samsung air conditioner will continue cooling inside your home even when the outside temperature reaches up to 58°C (136°F)*. So you can feel comfortable all year round, even in the scorching summer heat.
