Could never get my head round it. Now a much improved and decent camera. The screen is improved and the fold barely visible. Although, to be honest, it didn't really bother me.The fold in the fold seven. It folds away much neater and feels a lot better quality than the seven. The battery fuels like it last slightly longer.Although on my previous fold seven , the battery still seemed okay. Would I recommend it?Yes, I would.It just feels a lot better phone all round.

I've had the Z Fold8 Ultra for a few weeks now. I upgraded from the Fold6. I'm happy with the upgrade. The Fold8 Ultra is light, thin and powerful. The cameras are magnificent, battery life is great and I love the size of the main screen when opened. I do miss the S-Pen I had with the previous Fold6. The only complaint is the thickness of the camera. It protruding out of the main body quite a bit and makes it difficult or on some charger impossible to correctly place on wireless charger pads. I opted for an integrated magsafe case and upgraded my charging pads in home, office and vehicle to magsafe compatible fast chargers and have not looked back.

Screens are very responsive and good resolution. OS is very fast and responsive even with the fold/unfold requiring everything on the screen to change modes. Very smart to have front facing cameras on both screens. Room for improvement; a little hard to open the fold without tapping things on the small screen, perhaps a finger gap to open would be better. In the open screen mode the keyboard doesn't make use of the middle of the fold which makes it a bit hard to open. Overall this might be the time to go Fold if you are considering it.

It's been about 10 days, upgrading from s24 Ultra, a switch I was doubting because of the lack of the Spen, but for some reason, I love every aspect of the phone. The size when closed, thin and feels compact, when needing a large screen, boom, 8 inch display, super bright, no reflection, unbelievably thin and productive is on a different level. The Battery lasts the whole day, and I'm a heavy user. The Hinge feels strong and smooth. The cameras are super good. The software is well designed for foldables. Well done Samsung.
I bought this about 2 weeks ago and I noticed that the battery was a great improvement from my previous Samsung fold 6. the display is much nicer with less noticeable crease in the middle. the hinge feels very sturdy and when you're typing or flipping between apps or having multiple apps open, handles it very well with no lag.

The Hinge feels solid and the overall Durability seems good, but I still find myself being a bit careful with a foldable phone. Overall I like it a lot, especially for work and multitasking. Its expensive but if you actually use the big screen then I think it makes more sense.

I just received my z fold 8 ultra yesterday, the battery seems to drop quite fast when watching videos and multitasking. The hinge seems durable. The phone seems more responsive than my s25. The crease is almost invisible. Even though I have just received it yesterday, the phone seems quite durable. However, this phone is a tad heavier than my S25, I'm not quite used to it yet. It is a trade off for productivity tho. One thing that quite bother me is the quality of the speaker. I'm trading the featherweight s25 with nice speaker for a z fold 8 ultra with a huge potential of productivity and a great camera. I hope this is a good trade

When it's folded, I actually enjoy the narrower aspect of the cover screen that doesn't feel too wide in my hand. When it's unfolded, I can use the screen real estate for productivity by having both email and calendar open side by side, or I can use it for watching sport and talking rubbish with my friends at the same time. Very happy with my first foldable, and I feel like this is going to have a similar effect on me as the first time I started using dual displays with my PC: can't go back to one screen now.

I understand it would cost more, which means I will need to pay more, but I wouldn't mind it if I also get a decently bigger screen on the front. I upgraded from the S24 Ultra, so I still need to get used to the smaller screen and smaller keyboard. For a guy with big-ish hands, the small keyboard does annoy me a bit. The battery is disappointing, I haven't been using my phone excessively and the battery is going down much quicker than I'd expected, especially on a brand new phone. I specifically chose this phone for the camera as I thought it would be better than the Pixel but some of the photos I'm taking aren't very sharp and that's not from a distance at all so I definitely expected better quality. I love the big display and you can barely see any crease at all and it's so handy for multitasking but it's not enough for me to overlook the battery and camera.

The hinge mechanism is far smoother and easier to open. The screen brightness boost makes a big difference (as does the anti-reflective layer on the inner screen) and the ultra wide camera upped to 50px really does make for more detailed photos. The faster charging is great too, I really notice it when in a rush to top up (though the battery is lasting longer already, the extra MAh really help). Plus the Shadow Green colourway is gorgeous. My favourite colour anyway, so it was a no brainer!

The folding mechanism seems more sturdy, the crease on the inner screen is basically non-existent during typical usage, and the phone is so light! It's amazing that this is so much more improved than other folding phones while being so slim and nice to hold and easy to read. I've been putting it through its paces with gaming a lot as well, and the battery has held strong and barely drains compared to previous models. After years of watching the Fold line, this is the one that convinced me to switch. The new wider shape is the game changer — closed, it feels like a normal phone you can actually type on one-handed, and opened up it's a proper mini tablet. The crease is barely noticeable now, which surprised me the most. Performance is effortless, the battery genuinely lasts me a full day of heavy use, and split-screen multitasking has changed how I work on the go — reviewing documents and email side by side is brilliant. My only niggle is the camera housing spoils the lovely aesthetics of the device but I understand that and expect the Z Fold 9 will make it disappear :-)

The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra honestly feels like the first foldable where Samsung finally stopped making compromises. Unfolding it is a total treat the inner crease is practically invisible now, and both screens get so ridiculously bright that you can actually use it outside in bright sunlight without squinting. It's surprisingly thin and comfortable to hold, but what really blew me away was the battery life; it actually lasts through a full, heavy day without me needing to hunt for a charger. Throw in a super snappy processor and a 200MP camera that takes incredible shots, and it easily earns its spot as the best phone I've ever used for multitasking and gaming.

I saw the major improvement to front screen aspect ratio and thickness in the Z Fold 7 and was super keen. Z Fold 8 Ultra continued the upgrades and made the crease less noticeable so I immediately pre ordered. Been using it for 2 weeks now and even my partner, who's using a non-android device (iykyk) is jealous. Super happy but also super excited at the direction samsung folds are going. The standard Fold 8 also doesnt fall far behind so I'm keen to try that a few generations in.

Received Green fold 8 ultra a week ago, I would like to highlight few annoying issues with the larger display 1. FB, Instagram and shorts videos are enlarged to full screen and optimized for better view. 2.Netflix and Prime videos are smaller than ultra s26 display which is disappointing 3. Front display is too small and it could be little bit bigger for easy usage on unfold times 4.Digital bill board images are too pixelating due to the sharpeness corrections 5. Not worthy for 3000k CAD 6. Performances are better and battery life is decent

At 4.1mm unfolded it's the thinnest foldable Samsung has made, and it no longer feels like a compromise device you carry for the novelty. I wanted the fold 7 for so long because of the 200 mp camera. Advertised to be like the s25 and 26 ultra. I got the fold 8 ultra and the device itself is amazing. What a wonderful feature to be able to have a device and a tablet all in one. And also not to mention how slim it is. The only downside is the camera is not as good as the s25 ultra camera still. Side by side comparison of a picture between the two made me a little sad about the quality in low light.

I upgrade my foldable phone every year, and compared to last year's Fold 7, this year's Fold 8 Ultra doesn't feel like a significant upgrade overall. The only fan perk—the free memory upgrade for pre-orders—has been cancelled. The only bright spots are the increased battery life and faster charging, and this year's anti-reflective screen is excellent. The crease is also less noticeable than last year. Now that the phone has the "Ultra" name, I hope next year's model will see more improvements, otherwise, I'll lose the motivation to upgrade.

I recently upgraded from the Motorola RAZR plus 2024 and I've got to say, while having a similar look and feel, the overall experience is mind boggingly different. From the extra half centimetre of width to the customization, cohesiveness and ease of the Samsung family. Truly a beautiful product inside and out. The camera is amazing, the display feels ingrained and like that of a regular no flip phone. I can't attest to the durability as it is protected like fort Knox on a bad day. Battery is ok from what I've experienced so far but I assume it will get better as it learns my usage patterns.

I have been using the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra for a few weeks and I am extremely satisfied with its performance. The foldable display is bright, sharp, and immersive for watching videos, reading, and multitasking. The hinge feels sturdy and smooth every time I open and close the phone. The battery easily lasts a full day, and the phone remains fast and responsive even when running multiple apps. The premium design, excellent cameras, and overall build quality make this one of the best foldable smartphones I have ever used. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a flagship foldable device.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have upgraded to Fold 8 Ultra. Performance wise was much better than the 6 and the back camera is impressive. Colours in the Photos are more reflective of the true environment. Performance wise is significantly better and the battery could lay for 2 days despite regular use. Fold 6 (when new) have to be charged daily. In term of weight, significantly I could feel the difference between the 2 phones. Though the flip side is the display crease when unfold is still very visible (hence the 4 stars)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using it for about two weeks now, and the touch feel is excellent, and there’s almost no visible crease, which I really like. If I had to point out one thing, the slight resistance when opening and closing the fold is fine, but since there’s no gap, I have to use my fingernail to open it, which is a bit inconvenient. Other than that, I’m using it so well that there are almost no other issues.
I was honestly skeptical to upgrade, but the Z Fold 8 completely changed my mind. When it is closed, it actually feels like a normal phone. It is light, comfortable to type on, and easy to slide into a pocket. Opening it up to that huge screen never gets old, and the ugly crease from older models is pretty much gone. The battery easily gets me through a full day without stressing, and it just makes everyday stuff feel effortless. Everything feels snappy and responsive, and the screens are incredibly bright even when I am outside in direct sunlight. It feels sturdy and well-built too. The phone looks stunning. As a current Trifold user, I am using the Fold 8 Ultra as a secondary device to replace my Fold 6. The folding sound is deeply satisfying. The hinge feels incredibly strong, and the screen crease is barely visible right now. In terms of screen quality, weight, and overall size, it feels very similar to the Fold 7. Performance has been fast and snappy so far. I chose the Violet Shadow color and really love the aesthetic. My only complaints are that I miss having an S-Pen, and I am disappointed that there is no matching Violet Shadow case available at this moment.
