I never loved a phone so much in my life before. Perfect size for my hands and love the pistachio colour!

This phone plagued me for months. It was everywhere, and was everything I had said I had been looking for for the months before it. As a developer, there's days when planning a new implementation doesn't require my entire PC, but my laptop is still too large. Having the phablet option where I'm able to comfortably split between multiple applications is everything I've been hoping for. The UI being able to be almost entirely customized is something I'm in love with, and the battery being able to last over 12 hours even without power saving while using it heavily on battery-hungry apps like Discord and AI is incredible. The display is stunning, though some browsers and apps aren't properly formatted for the cover screens size. However, it's a small price to pay and I'd gladly pay it again. The number of times I've dropped it and seen how durable it is even before I got a case on it was also incredible, as I've had phones that couldn't handle much. When it's closed, it seems like this generations Nokia brick phone that could withstand nuclear warfare. The hinge is also fantastic so far, I had been concerned that it would be too stiff or too easy but it really is an incredibly well-manufactured device. The fact that it responds to my input without a moment's hesitation is also a delight, but is expect nothing less of a Samsung. LOVE my Z Fold 8, I think we'll be together for a very long time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the Z Fold 8 after years of bouncing from phone to phone, not knowing what I was looking for. The Fold 8 being shorter and wider makes typing (for me anyway) more fun. The experience feels more fluid and is easy to use on the go and even type without looking. The format has made day to day use of the front screen just more pleasing overall. The inner screen has its own unique draw as well, opening the phone and turning the phone vertical makes it an actual usable "phablet". Scrolling menus, looking at web pages, alot of apps, the list is endless to what can be more usable here. In the horizontal position opening multiple apps is where this shines, having banking apps open for seamless transfers, or if you're moving and needing to see old address vs new address information for service transfers utilizing 3 windows and having a calculator in a floating window, chefs kiss. I appreciate this device more than I have in many years, and see myself carrying it for quite a while, and for me, that's saying something. To me, this is hands down the best mobile experience I have had thus far.

Typing on the outer screen is also much easier than I expected. The inner display is where this phone really shines. Streaming YouTube, movies, TV shows, and sports is fantastic on the larger screen. I also love being able to open it up when I need more space and fold it back up when I want something more compact. Overall, the Fold 8 feels like a huge step forward in making a foldable practical for everyday use. I’m really happy with it!

This phone is just the right size. Being slightly larger than a pixel and slightly shorter, it's easily pocketable. It's also much lighter. Love the phone !

The flip felt too small and I have been an Ultra girl since the note series. This phone ferls great in my hand. It feels like a mini book or even like a compact mirror. The screen is responsive. Flips through pages quickly. The colors of my videos, pictures and movies look stunning. I think the sound is louder than my S23 Ultra. My daughter complained it was too loud but not for me, lol. It's a great little phone and I can't wait until I can customize it even more. It's beautiful and sleek. I love the fingerprint sensor on the side. It responds quickly to unlock.

The thinner, lighter design compared with other Fold devices makes for a more user friendly experience whilst still offering the front screen as a quick use tool and the larger fold screen as a small tablet all in one. Ive put a 360 case on it as i will drop it and this is still no thicker than the average phone in a case. Battery so far is more than i need for heavy daily use and the speed and response is exceptional. The fold mech is strong and durable, holds firmly closed until openeded and snaps closed when finished. Best Samsung phone to date.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had the Fold 6 and thought moving to the Fold 7 was an evolution change, but moving to the Fold 8, wow! The size is perfect, it fits into your hand and looks right. Then you open it up and it transforms, pictures, video and books just fit the this screen ratio. The hinge works better than the Fold 7, opening easier and snaps open. The crease I have forgotten about. I didn't notice it on the Fold 7, but the screen is so much better. I never thought the Fold 7 was a slouch but the 8 seems so much more smoother and responsive. One UI 9 has some great improvements and the integration with the AI makes tasks and work flow so much easier.

At just 201g, it's the lightest book-style foldable yet and feels much more pocketable. Folded: Wide and compact like a passport — the 5.5-inch cover screen is way more usable one-handed for texting, scrolling, and quick tasks. Unfolded: The 7.6-inch inner screen has a near 4:3 ratio that's excellent for videos, YouTube, Netflix, and browsing with fewer black bars. The crease is much less noticeable thanks to new Flex Titanium tech, and the hinge feels solid. It’s fun to open and close. Some people might still find the thickness or sharp corners slightly awkward in tight pockets, but overall it's a huge improvement in everyday comfort.

I love to watch videos and this phone seems built for exactly that. Whether I'm watching the outer screen turned to the side for a quick short video, or need the cinematic experience of the larger inner screen, this device has me covered. When opened and held horizontal for apps like YouTube or vertical for apps like Facebook, the inner surface advantage comes alive. Oh, and I can reach everything with one hand now when it's closed! My last phone was the s23 ultra for the display size and the CPU was pretty alright. But now I game waaaaay more on my phone when I'm not home and I read a lot more Manga and comics so I felt like I had to chose the fold 8. The compact size of the front is perfect for tiktok and I perfer reading fanfics and books on the front display. Inside is THE PERFECT SIZE FOR MANGA AND COMICS! It is the same size as the paperwhite 12th gen. Only downside is no pen and the inner camera should be more to the corner cause it does mess the menu in a few gacha games like HSR.

I chose to get the regular fold 8 instead of the ultra after having used the fold 6 and 7 for years because the wider form factor seemed like a great change and it definitely is. It makes it so much easier to browse the web, scroll social media and read the news, but it's also much easier to type on. I have larger hands and can reach everything on the screen easily but the wider keyboard makes it so much easier to type and text. I also love that the inner screen doesn't have black bars for videos anymore. I love the form factor and will be sticking with it for the long term. Easily the best phone I have ever had.

I loved having a smaller phone, but I also used it for it's bending capability. I planned on getting the new Z flip 8 but when I saw this model I knew it was for me. It's smaller than average phones, and of course it unfolds to a much larger screen. I've missed having a phone that I could use without opening it. Today was the first full day of using it and I used the front screen to watch some videos and slightly opened the phone so it stood on its own. Absolutely loved it. I will now watch movies on the inside screen and i can't wait. This is such a smart move for Samsung!!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think Samsung nailed it with the Fold8, the size, the hinge mechanism, the screen viewing ration when folded and unfolded, it is impressive and once you get used to it you can't go back to normal phones. Battery capacity is huge and certainly lasts for a full day with constant usage, and the phone form factor is durable but worth investing in a rugged cased to protect such massive investment. Screen is bright and very responsive when folded and unfolded, really love watching videos on this phone, and more importantly choose the right case that support vertical kickstand (not just horizontal) to be sure you are most enjoying the screen view.

It's wonderfully compact when folded, but unfolding it into a mini tablet completely changes the experience. The whole thing is just a beautiful piece of tech - unbelievably thin and light for everything it can do. I chose this phone because Samsung showed up with the best foldable form factor! I use it to read emails and look at work documents at the same time, and nothing really compares when having that at the same time, all in your pocket. I'm a really busy grad student who also has a full time job, so when travelling, having a phone that can actually keep up is important. Not to mention -- you get to leave your mini tablet at home. If you like gaming and productivity, this is the phone.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my third foldable phone. I used to own galaxy Z fold 2 and Z fold 5. Both were pretty good but this one feels and is even better. For me the size is perfect, you can use the entire phone with a single hand even when you are using it as tablet mode. I think the technology got pretty much improved for the foldable system, it feels smooth when you fold and unfold the phone. Although the cameras are not the ones as the ultra the photos are very good. Also you can see that the battery lasts longer as the previous foldable phones as well as my galaxy s25 ultra. So Big improvement there too. Definitely my best foldable phone so far.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the galaxy z fold 8 and I don't regret it one bit. The keyboard is nice and wide making it hard to type incorrectly. When opened the screen is amazing! Watching Netflix and YouTube on this is seriously impressive. When I want to play games I open it up and now I have a tablet, it really blew my expectations out of the water. I really like that the finger print reader is in the power button it makes more sense to have it there. This phone is way louder than my s26 was. The compact size of this phone when closed should be the new standard, it just feels more natural. I dont see myself ever going back to a candy bar shaped phone ever again.

I love the new design form, but videos of most social media apps, like Facebook, Instagram, Ticktock, YouTube, etc, are not formatted to fit the screen of this phone, legs and heads are half seen, regardless if it's titled horizontal or vertical. Samsung needs either to make some software adjustments or get in touch with the developers of the above apps so they can make the necessary changes, specially for the new screen format of this phone. Also it can definitely use larger battery., at least 6000 mAh, another important improvement is to get rid of the camera cutoff whole opening, especially in the inner display, it definitely causes problems.

Absolutely fantastic phone. The Z Fold 8 folds, unfolds, and occasionally reminds me that apparently my bank account is also capable of folding. The screen is gorgeous, the performance is ridiculously smooth, and multitasking is so good that I can now procrastinate on three apps simultaneously. Build quality feels premium, cameras are great, and the whole phone screams “I have my life together” which is impressive considering I bought it mainly to show people that it folds. Battery life? It exists. Price? Also exists. Worth it? Absolutely, if you enjoy premium technology and making financially questionable decisions. 10/10. Would fold again. 📱

The features that sold me were being able to use the kindle app and having it look just like book as well as watching videos with the giant screen. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is I wish that the camera was the same as the Ultra series because not having the same camera quality I was used to from the 25 ultra was jarring and a big change. Other than that I am so glad I made the switch and I chose to go with the z fold 8 instead of the flip because the size and features are just overall very hard to beat.

Hello Samsung. Just wanted to thank y'all for these new Z FOLDS (8 & 8 ULTRA). Based on what i have seen and felt, if i may make ONLY 2 suggestions. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, Make the z fold 9 with the same hinge as the z fold 8 ultra and give it the same camera 200mp. Other than that, I would have boughten the z fold 8 over the 8 ultra due to its size and functionality. I hope this reaches you well and have high hopes for the passport phone (z fold 8) next year. If you make this work....best bet, I WILL be upgrading to this phone for sure as this is what my wife and I really wanted until we found out the hinge, camera, & also battery life. Thanks.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose to shake things up a bit and ditch the traditional candy bar phone for a short and stubby passport style foldable. It's been 3 days and I'm loving all the tweaks and customization available in the new operating system I wish that the phone had different camera placement and included a telephoto lens. I miss the old version of the inner display's selfie camera. A tad intrusive and I don't see any use case. The speaker placement could also be better next iteration because it does not provide stereo sound when in landscape viewing on the inner screen. I wish it was $250 cheaper and I could say it was a good value, but it is a solid device.

I love being able to use the phone 2 different ways. Closed for when I wanna do something super quick and open for a much better social media scrolling experience. It's also the perfect size especially for someone with small hands. I also play some emulators on my phone and having it closed gives that Gameboy like handheld experience and using it open gives the DS experience. it's very classic with a modern twist. I am very happy with the purchase, I'm just sad that Samsung hasn't done a foldable this size sooner.

I bought this upon release. I have been watching the evolution of the fold over the years and felt this was the one for me. The folded smaller form factor is perfect for my hand size, and overall just extremely comfortable. Unfolded, the screen is clear, and large and adaptable. The split screen functionality is incredibly useful, and the operating system overall extremely smooth. The phone itself is lightweight, but also feels very durable. The material is very premium feeling without compromising on weight. The adaptive battery takes a few days to get used to your patterns, but has a long life once the phone adapts to your usage. Overall, zero regret with this phone.

Honestly, it's an all for one phone. You wanna game on it ? Easy open it in a vertical position, you wanna read ur fav comic, novel, or book ? Open it in a horizontal view. Wanna just reply to texts faster and using one hand ? Keep it closed. The phone is designed perfectly for everything. From gaming, to watching videos, to reading and writing. Literally an amazing masterpiece. And the lavender color ? Ooofff that's a very delicate and stunning choice for such a compact and light weight phone. Honestly 10/10 tho the price is too high for me atm. Gonna wait for when there's a discount or an offer that tone it down to at least 6k AED 🤷🏻

The passport type shape is really appealing to me and its been a dream to consume content on. The device is very responsive and I havent had any kind of slowdowns at all, everything is instant and smooth. The battery life is really good too! I like the new si-c battery, it lasts ages and I havent had any issues with it at all- plus it keeps the device sleek and thin. The device itself feels very sturdy, it's well made and I have no concerns of it breaking. The hinge feels very snappy and premium and I havent had any issues with it at all.

The Display is fantastic and extremely clear. The Hinge in the fold is very strong but not to stiff and is easy to open. I have my Battery set to 80 percent but everyday use, it doesn't drop below 50 percent, which is miles better than my S24. This isn't a Flimsy phone, it's quite robust and feels very strong in your hand. Searching through apps, it's really quick and very responsive and you can have multiple pages and apps open at the same time. This is a great upgrade from my S24, glad I got one. You won't be disappointed 😉

I love the fact that the shorter slightly wider aspect ratio fits videos nearly perfectly even when folded. As an engineer myself I appreciate efficiency and the ergonomics combined with the aspect ratio is the best of all worlds. Whether it's scrolling on social media or watching a video it feels right. I've been switching back and forth between my old s24 ultra and this phone and the s24 ultra now feels too long. Definitely not for everyone but the fact that Samsung gives you the option is greatly appreciated. I do not see myself going back to a long slab phone.

The overall design, weight, in-hand feel, and ergonomics are fantastic. Both the cover display and the unfolded main screen look amazing and offer an incredible viewing experience. ​If I had to point out a few minor drawbacks, the placement of the heat dissipation feels a bit noticeable during heavy use, and I occasionally experience slight stuttering on a few specific apps. However, these are minor details compared to how good the rest of the phone is. Overall, it is an outstanding device and I highly recommend it.

My carrier was doing a great pre sale trade in so I got the z fold 8 in the base 256g. The form factor is perfect for me. The size feels like my old blackberry. When I open it up it's a tablet. I'm in sales and readband sign a lot of contracts. The big main screen is the perfect size and it has made my old tablet obsolete. It allows me to do many things that would require my laptop previously. My only gripe is it isn't S Pen comparable. Maybe at some point Samsung will bring back that functionality. But even if they don't, this phone is great.

Running multiple apps side by side feels effortless, and the larger display makes work and everyday tasks so much easier. Overall, this is easily the most refined Z Fold yet. It finally feels like a foldable that’s ready to be a daily driver without the usual compromises.
