I was worried about the battery and durability before getting it but it feels sturdy and that I don't need to baby it as much as I thought would. I even went for a case that doesn't have hinge protection. The only downside is AI, I'm not a fan of it and the effects it has on the environment. I wish there was a way to completely turn it off (there could be but I haven't found the option yet) Overall I'm loving this little phone and playing around with the customisation!

I have just received my pistachio Z fold 8 I can say it is my perfect match The outer screen size is perfect not large and not small just perfect The inner display is phenomenal crisp and clear I can easily handle my daily tasks from reading mails and taking notes The crease is now reduced u can only notice it in certain angels The hinge closure and opening is so good The materials looks durable and catchy The touch screen response is perfect no typos I believe they enhanced the calibration. The battery also has significant improvement over my latest S25 phone it survive the day easily I used the main camera it is very good and selfie is also good.

I've just moved over from about 8 years of pixel ownership and think that I will well and truly stay a Samsung customer as long as the fold 8 style phone is made. It's brilliant form factor, super easy setup, the front display is great for normal phone use and the main screen is amazing for content and multitasking. Build quality is very premium feeling and strong. Hinge is really well built. Amazing battery life, i charged it maybe by 10% yesterday and still had 50% battery at 10:30pm after heavy use all day. Some of the native apps don’t open perfectly in the current aspect ratio when the phone is closed, but once you open it up and turn it to portrait, it becomes a long, large scrolling page, which I really like. Honestly, I’m a bit tired of manufacturers constantly changing the cameras. I think they should have left this one alone. Lost the 30x zoom. That sucks Overall, it’s a great phone. The size and weight are excellent, and the functionality is really good. Very happy with it so far.

Love the phone, glad I purchased it despite the higher cost! Decent battery life and the form factor is amazing. The wider form factor is more suitable for my hands compared to my old Flip7. The hinge durability on the Fold 8 also seems more solid than on the Flip7. However, it is unfortunate that I can no longer keep the phone at any angle to use it as a tripod. Both screens are amazing for my use case. I dont game on the phone so I dont need super quick refresh rates. The two things I would want to make this phone 5/5 would be having a slightly bigger battery/more efficient processor and a telephoto lens

The experience was so good I was blown away and ordered another as an upgrade. The crease was virtually invisible unless using in high glare environment. This makes viewing most media and newspaper reading highly enjoyable especially with images where phone screen estate is important. The larger inner screen makes my calendar view easy and enjoyable too. I now can multitasks easily, such as sending a text while needing to reference an email/website. Good work Samsung.

I've been using my Z Fold 8 for three weeks now, and I'm so happy I bought it. I love that it's small; typing becomes easy since I have small hands. Watching my favorite dramas, whether unfolded or folded, is so enjoyable. One thing I don't like is that sometimes when I'm doing video calls, the sound is so low I can barely hear. I'm not sure if it's something I have to set up. But when I watch normal videos, the sound is loud.

The thinner, lighter design compared with other Fold devices makes for a more user friendly experience whilst still offering the front screen as a quick use tool and the larger fold screen as a small tablet all in one. Ive put a 360 case on it as i will drop it and this is still no thicker than the average phone in a case. Battery so far is more than i need for heavy daily use and the speed and response is exceptional. The fold mech is strong and durable, holds firmly closed until openeded and snaps closed when finished. Best Samsung phone to date.

The size is perfect, it fits into your hand and looks right. Then you open it up and it transforms, pictures, video and books just fit the this screen ratio. The hinge works better than the Fold 7, opening easier and snaps open. The crease I have forgotten about. I didn't notice it on the Fold 7, but the screen is so much better. I never thought the Fold 7 was a slouch but the 8 seems so much more smoother and responsive. One UI 9 has some great improvements and the integration with the AI makes tasks and work flow so much easier.

At just 201g, it's the lightest book-style foldable yet and feels much more pocketable. Folded: Wide and compact like a passport — the 5.5-inch cover screen is way more usable one-handed for texting, scrolling, and quick tasks. Unfolded: The 7.6-inch inner screen has a near 4:3 ratio that's excellent for videos, YouTube, Netflix, and browsing with fewer black bars. The crease is much less noticeable thanks to new Flex Titanium tech, and the hinge feels solid. It’s fun to open and close. Some people might still find the thickness or sharp corners slightly awkward in tight pockets, but overall it's a huge improvement in everyday comfort.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The new form factor is a game changer, I find that I open the fold less for most day to day phone tasks as they can now be easily carried out on the front screen. I find that the new size I more pocket friendly and less noticeable than my previous Fold 7. My only criticisms at the moment (but they wouldn't stop me choosing the phone again) the speakers are on the top and bottom of the phone when closed so viewing videos in landscape (while closed) gives you a full sterio experience. However, when you open the phone to watch content in landscape the speakers are now at the top and the bottom of the screen so any sterio effect is lost. Arguably in the open format and in landscape this is where you would be taking full advantage of the larger viewing area so it's a little disappointing to find that you now miss out on an emmersive sound experience to match the fantastic screen. Maybe this is something that could be considered as an improvement for the Fold 9? Secondly, the camera set up. I would have liked to have seen the same as the fold 8 ultra. Coming from the fold 7 I deffinately feel like I've taken a step backwards with the camera capability available to me. Granted the ultra wide lens gets an upgrade from 12m to 50m over the fold 7 but the complete absence of a dedicated telephotoens in my opinion is a noticeable absence from a really great top tier phone. These 2 improvements would see me going from a 4 star review to a 5 star. Having said that, the form factor would still see me choosing the fold 8 over the fold 8 ultra. Oh, and one more thing Samsung. Please please think about s-pen support.

Battery capacity is huge and certainly lasts for a full day with constant usage, and the phone form factor is durable but worth investing in a rugged cased to protect such massive investment. Absolutely fantastic phone. The Z Fold 8 folds, unfolds, and occasionally reminds me that apparently my bank account is also capable of folding. The screen is gorgeous, the performance is ridiculously smooth, and multitasking is so good that I can now procrastinate on three apps simultaneously. Build quality feels premium, cameras are great, and the whole phone screams “I have my life together” which is impressive considering I bought it mainly to show people that it folds. Battery life? It exists. Price? Also exists. Worth it? Absolutely, if you enjoy premium technology and making financially questionable decisions. 10/10. Would fold again. 📱

I have my Battery set to 80 percent but everyday use, it doesn't drop below 50 percent, which is miles better than my S24. The design is also very practical because it is still compact enough when folded. The only downside I have noticed so far is that when using the front screen, some apps can be a bit slow to respond. Occasionally I have had to close the app and reopen it to make it work properly again. Hopefully this can be improved with future software updates. However, in the end I opted for the Z Fold 8 because the form factor felt different. I am obsessed with how good this phone is to use just with the external screen and use that easily 80% but possibly 90% of the time. The battery is currently lasting me 2 days which is outstanding for such a small form factor. The foldable screen once opened is then truly something special. The phone is brilliantly responsive between screens and feels seamless. The camera is really only average when trying to zoom, but for normal photos of subjects nearby is perfectly acceptable.

Been loving my Galaxy Flip since the first edition and upgrading it every year. Didn't expect to say this but after experiencing the Fold8 hands-on, it seems it's time to switch it up. Much slimmer and lighter than I expected, sitting super well in one hand. The real magic was unfolding it (unexpectedly I do appreciate that extra screen space) which made my little scroll through my favourite dog content so much better. Always loved how the Flex Mode on my Flip made every selfie session with my niece and dog so much more fun (and stable) by using the main camera and outside screen and now with the Fold8 camera... chef's kiss :)

Fits great in jeans pockets and the right size to do everything on the go right on the cover screen. Fold 8 open 😜 and its like a kindle size device. Super comfortable to hold, genuinely the perfect size for other tasks that require more attention. The display quality is fantastic So far. The battery life is great. I've had it 4 days now and only charged it twice. I can't comment on durabilty just yet as ive not had it long enough but It eems solid. And I am so glad I did. The form factor is far better, it's lighter, the display is epic, the crease is nearly non-existent, the battery is superb and holding the device in the hand is great. It's easily pocketable and is very snappy to use, very responsive and so far, I cannot say enough great things about it. I had questions about the camera but for standard photography, I really can't complain. I don't use a zoom lens so I don't miss the added camera in the Fold 8 Ultra. Superb all round device!

The single screen is sufficient for me to do a lot of work without needing to open the full screen size. Of course the double screen helps when working on my VM machine. Only flaw is that the single screen you are unable to control the viewing dimensions, so for reading and older people like me, this becomes a slight issue. Of course you can open the double screen and that would solve it. So small flaw in the UX. Regardless, I would still recommend the phone. Good speed, sharp and clear images and certainly feels robust enough to handle someone rough like me.

This phone is amazing! Closed it is the perfect size for everything I need to do quickly. Opened it is amazing for reading watching videos and using the web. Both screens are crystal clear and super responsive. The battery on it easily gets me through the day and is still around 40% when I go to bed at night. I would definitely recommend a case to protect it from drops and falls but the phone itself is sturdy and durable.

The multitasking is next level, photos are amazing, and usability is brilliant. The Fold 4 had some battery problems after 2 years; that is why I upgraded to the Fold 6. The battery, durability, hinge and responsiveness of that phone were perfect for what I do. When I saw this new Z Fold 8 and its new format, it is perfect - it is the best of both worlds. The cover screen is now so usable, and the inside screen with the thinner body make it fit in my hand so easily.

The battery last for two days which is incredible and the whole devise feel so durable and well made. I have a three year contract and feel totally confident this device will last. But, it is still lacking a few essential things, as it doesn't have magnetic wireless charging capability despite the fact it doesn't have a pen like the Ultra that apparently is the cause for not introducing this feature in the first place, it is not coming with a a screen protector for the external display as it used to, no ultra fast charger in the box as the old chargers are not ultra fast charging but barely 10-15 W, the battery doesn't last more than the previous models or any S models. Overall it is not worth the full price but if you can get a good discount then it is a good purchase.

The new Fold is as small as my passport! I love the new hinge improvement. The Galaxy Z Fold8 is an outstanding foldable smartphone that delivers a premium experience in every way. For my experience very excellent for fold 8 dahil ang dali nya lang dalhin at ang ganda nyang panooran... grabe din yung design nakuha ni samsung yung talagang need ng mga client sa palagay ko dahil sulit yung mga features na meron to lalo na kung mahilg ka manood ng movie or mag basa dhil sa mga AI na meron sya mas mapapadala narin yung ginagawa mo. Dagdag pa dito meron silang bago yung Fan Cam for video editing na maenjoy mo lalo na kung my mga favorite Character kang gustong gusto mo panoorin... kht sa labas at loob ng bahay unstable yung viewing dahil mataas na brightness nito... for me is a good and nice.

I wasn't sure I would like this phone when I pre-ordered, my doubts were gone in the first hour it is so much fun, the camera is great and using it open makes it a lot better, battery lasts a long time, I love the finger print reader is on the side and not on the screen. If you are on the fence try it, you won't regret it. The hinges are great and no visible line on the screen when open. The speed is great and it is not as fragile as you think so I think it will last before I need to upgrade.
Battery life is super, I can get 2 days in one charge. Email, facebook, youtube and browsing.

The front screen on the fold8 is perfect for 90% of use. I do multitasking on once open and it does it perfectly with 2 apps open. Only gripe I have is on apps like instagram, it doesn't respond well with me hitting the bookmark button or other types of buttons on other apps where the function sits on the far right of the screen, I believe it's a glitch for the wider format for the front screen. I assume this can be fixed with an update 🙏 other than that - perfect device. Sturdy and feels great.

I'm super satisfied with this new fold series. Fold 8 ultra is slimmer and light weight which makes it very portable for me. The anti reflective coating on the inner screen makes outdoor viewing during the day less stressful Its battery capacity of 5000mah plus the super fast charging option of up to 45W is amazing As a photo and video girlie I so much enjoy the my fan cam AI option that helps me to focus on a particular person or object and create a professional video of them exempting them from the crowd. multi-tasking o this new device is much fun than ever. This phone is the best phone I have ever used. Display size and quality is amazing. When tablets were first introduced, it was completely a new device, a new tech.. This phone gives the same feeling. A completely new form of technology. Outer screen does all your daily tasks. Inner screens multitask ability is excellent. Samsung UI is also excellent. Fluidity is also amazing. Youtuber criticized the camera but it's actually good. Only two negatves I would say is relatively weak battery life and no S Pen support. Samsung better finds a solution to S Pen or any slim pen as this phone screams to get a pen support. Overall top top tier phone, feels completely different and unmatched.

Fabulous display wider than a normal handheld which in my view gives your eyes more to see and easier to operate. Coming from a z fold 7 this phone as come on leaps and bounds, longer battery time, brilliant display and a very responsive operating system in the Android 17 with UI 9. Stunning build quality with a far better hinge. This phone is a keeper for me and I am confident it's durability will last for all of the updates. Outstanding specs, and without doubt Samsung's best phone yet. They will sell millions of these no problem.
Today is day 5 with the phone and I am absolutely loving it. Battery life has been fantastic and the size of phone is just perfect for getting most things done on the cover screen and accomplishing the rest on the inner screen. Having had the z fold 7 which was a good phone I can honestly say the "regular" 8 is even better and the perfect form factor for me. Cream colour is the best IMHO.. I have never had an issue with the crease so no comment on that. Screen display is bright enough even for outdoors in sunny weather. Oneui 9 flies so no complaints there. We will have to see how we do for durability going forward. The only complaint to date is the cost to own one of these phones.

Great phone until I changed for the Fold 4. My daughter still enjoys my Fold 4, but I moved up to the Fold 6 , then to the Fold 7, and now to the Fold8. This phone is unbelievable, so many options are available especially when you download Samsung apps like Good Lock and Navstar, and more. Both screens are brilliant, bright, crisp, smooth 120Hz, and the inner display’s crease is so faint I barely notice it. It feels solid and well‑protected, tough frame, reinforced glass, and IP rating give me peace of mind. The hinge opens and closes smoothly, stays tight, and still feels sturdy after constant folding. Response is instant, apps launch fast, switching between screens is seamless, and multitasking never lags or stutters.

My annoyances are the comparisons between using a swift keyboard is Samsung keyboard. Swift is still better. Size of keyboard overlaps everything on the screen. Not a good experience. Need the ability to control rotation between vertical and landscape when using the outer screen. There are some apps which I don't want to rotate to landscape when the phone is closed. Would also be peace of mind to have a higher ip rating. Ip48 keeps me up at night and I would love not to have to use a chunky case to protect the phone.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had the z fold 8 for a week now and it did take some getting used to, with it being a smaller phone than my previous s24 ultra. I have to say though that I am so happy with it, the display is excellent and it just feels right in the hand. The hinge is strong and the whole phone feels durable and responsive. I am also impressed with the battery, a single charge is lasting all day despite it hardly being out of my hand at the moment. The speaker also produces good sound but it is located in the wrong place in my opinion as it is over to the left when it is in tablet mode. I also don't like the front facing camera being so visible it is distracting. On the whole though, i am really happy with the phone and glad I made the switch to a fold.

Well, I am not disapointed, the front screen is a perfect size for most of my daily tasks, the larger screen makes it easier to respond to messages, view mail, and research. Then open the phone to a mini tablet, great for viewing photos, and sharing the viewing with hubby, no more handing the phone back and forth. Love the screen size for all tasks, mail, banking, texting, all of it. Now, I'm of the older generation, so not up to date with all the quirky tech features, but I've found myself trying out a few, and the sky hasn't fallen for my tinkering,. This is my best and favourite mobole phone so far.

I'm honestly enjoying the fold 8 experience. I think the ergonomic design is really a game changer. The new dimensions is refreshing and gives you a whole different experience. The Fold8 makes life much easier: - small, thin and lightweight: it easily fits in a jeans pocket - great for watching YouTube and reading books - the hinge is less visible than on my wife’s Flip6 - the standing case is excellent for hands-free content viewing It’s not ideal, though: - the camera is visibly worse than on the S26 Ultra - some apps cut off content because of the folded display’s unusual width - it looks fragile and might be very expensive to repair after a fall

With the ultra the screen is too narrow and i feel i need to open it more than i should. The crease is barely visible at the moment which is great. Not sure how this will be over time. Battery life is good last me the day. The hinge is very keen not sure im confortable with the forceful opening. Its alot lighter than my previous phone so durability is yet to be determined. But with this being so light im worried for how it would stand up to being dropped. With the 1tb 16gb it feel rapid when it comes to responsiveness.

They're uncomfortable and impractical. This is the perfect form factor - so easy to hold, and the large folded out screen is amazing. Most importantly, it's a true joy to use folded as well because the screen is a perfect size. Feels great in the pocket too. So far the hinge has only creased a little so I just hope it's durable over time. If so, it's perfect. Not gone below 50% battery with moderate use on both screens, including games. Samsung, kudos. I bought this a month ago and am so happy that I did. The battery life is incredible and easily gets me through a full day of heavy use. I am especially impressed by the screen's brightness, which makes it perfectly clear to read even outside under direct sunlight.The build quality feels premium, giving me complete confidence in its long-term durability. Coming from a Flip7, this is a major upgrade. If you're coming from a Flip, go for Fold 8. The transition to a Fold from a Flip is made much easier with this new wide form factor. That's because it's still very compact and pocketable. The cover screen is so useful, I only go into the main screen when watching videos, or just wanting more space for browsing. No lag, all buttery smooth. Also, the cover and main screens are both more than bright enough for outside viewing in the sun. Battery easily lasts me all day as well. Highly recommend this device. This wide form factor will be the mainstream for foldables. Also, the crease is extremely minimal, and it's stayed the same since using it for the last 3 weeks. You really don't notice it at all. No going back to a slab phone now. Overall, the phone and hinge feel solid.
Unfold the device the design awesome,greeted by a gorgeous 7.6-inch inner AMOLED display. Because of the wider 4:3 aspect ratio, apps open in a landscape orientation naturally, and videos fill up much more of the screen with minimal letterboxing (black bars). Both screens boast peak brightnesses up to 3,000 nits, making outdoor visibility a breeze.

Having previously owned the fold 3, 5 and 7, i can honestly say this is the best foldable phone ive used by some distance. The new form factor makes one handed operation a breeze and the aspect ratio of both screens are perfect for watching videos, using the camera and content in general. I was even pleasently surrised with the camera as i expected it to be a downgrade from the fold 7 but it is definitely not thr case. It took me a day or two to get used to the new form factor but honestly cannot fault it so far.

I really loved my Flip 3, and then I got the S24 Ultra, which had an amazing camera and was a great all-around phone, though a bit big for my pocket. Now I'm on the Fold 8, and I'm super impressed with how it folds and its slim compact size, and also Samsung does the BEST trade-in deals. The screen and battery are awesome. But, I'm really let down about the camera. For this price, I expected a telephoto lens or better optical zoom. When I tried to zoom in about 15 meters, the quality was pretty bad. Samsung team, you could've made it perfect by adding another camera or better optical sensor, making it a truly outstanding product. It's a real letdown, I feel like I have a camera from 2 years ago.

I’ve been using the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 and, honestly, I’m really impressed. The big screen is the main reason I bought it, and it genuinely makes a difference for emails, reading, maps and watching videos. It’s also surprisingly good for multitasking. It’s not perfect though. It’s still quite bulky when folded, and the price is hard to ignore. The battery is decent rather than amazing, especially with heavy use. That said, it feels much more practical than I expected from a foldable. The build quality is excellent and I actually find myself using the inner screen rather than just treating it as a gimmick. Overall, I’m very happy with it. Expensive, yes, but for me it’s been worth the upgrade.

The size of the phone i thought maybe too wide, but I was mistaken it fits great in my pockets and feels good in the hand. The battery seems great too as I've had this since Monday (now Thursday night) and have been constantly using it and setting it all up etc. I have only charged it twice. It feels very well made, responsive and only time will tell if it's durability will be enough. But so far 5 Stars from me 😍
