The multitasking is next level, photos are amazing, and usability is brilliant. The Fold 4 had some battery problems after 2 years; that is why I upgraded to the Fold 6. The battery, durability, hinge and responsiveness of that phone were perfect for what I do. When I saw this new Z Fold 8 and its new format, it is perfect - it is the best of both worlds. The single screen is sufficient for me to do a lot of work without needing to open the full screen size. Of course the double screen helps when working on my VM machine. Only flaw is that the single screen you are unable to control the viewing dimensions, so for reading and older people like me, this becomes a slight issue. Of course you can open the double screen and that would solve it. So small flaw in the UX. Regardless, I would still recommend the phone. Good speed, sharp and clear images and certainly feels robust enough to handle someone rough like me.

Absolutely fantastic phone. The Z Fold 8 folds, unfolds, and occasionally reminds me that apparently my bank account is also capable of folding. The screen is gorgeous, the performance is ridiculously smooth, and multitasking is so good that I can now procrastinate on three apps simultaneously. Build quality feels premium, cameras are great, and the whole phone screams “I have my life together” which is impressive considering I bought it mainly to show people that it folds. Battery life? Today is day 5 with the phone and I am absolutely loving it. Battery life has been fantastic and the size of phone is just perfect for getting most things done on the cover screen and accomplishing the rest on the inner screen. Having had the z fold 7 which was a good phone I can honestly say the "regular" 8 is even better and the perfect form factor for me. Cream colour is the best IMHO.. I have never had an issue with the crease so no comment on that. Screen display is bright enough even for outdoors in sunny weather. Oneui 9 flies so no complaints there. We will have to see how we do for durability going forward. The only complaint to date is the cost to own one of these phones.

Love the solid flod function, it doesnt feel flimsy. Battery life is good enough for daily use for me. Watching Kdrama on a big screen is a treat. The thinner, lighter design compared with other Fold devices makes for a more user friendly experience whilst still offering the front screen as a quick use tool and the larger fold screen as a small tablet all in one. Ive put a 360 case on it as i will drop it and this is still no thicker than the average phone in a case. Battery so far is more than i need for heavy daily use and the speed and response is exceptional. The size is perfect, it fits into your hand and looks right. Then you open it up and it transforms, pictures, video and books just fit the this screen ratio. The hinge works better than the Fold 7, opening easier and snaps open. The crease I have forgotten about. I didn't notice it on the Fold 7, but the screen is so much better. I never thought the Fold 7 was a slouch but the 8 seems so much more smoother and responsive. One UI 9 has some great improvements and the integration with the AI makes tasks and work flow so much easier.

The crease is much less noticeable thanks to new Flex Titanium tech, and the hinge feels solid. It’s fun to open and close. Some people might still find the thickness or sharp corners slightly awkward in tight pockets, but overall it's a huge improvement in everyday comfort.

A completely new form of technology. Outer screen does all your daily tasks. Inner screens multitask ability is excellent. Samsung UI is also excellent. Fluidity is also amazing. Youtuber criticized the camera but it's actually good. Only two negatves I would say is relatively weak battery life and no S Pen support. Samsung better finds a solution to S Pen or any slim pen as this phone screams to get a pen support. Overall top top tier phone, feels completely different and unmatched.

The Display is fantastic and extremely clear. The Hinge in the fold is very strong but not to stiff and is easy to open. I have my Battery set to 80 percent but everyday use, it doesn't drop below 50 percent, which is miles better than my S24. This isn't a Flimsy phone, it's quite robust and feels very strong in your hand. Searching through apps, it's really quick and very responsive and you can have multiple pages and apps open at the same time. This is a great upgrade from my S24, glad I got one. The large inner screen feels almost like a small tablet, which makes reading, browsing the web, checking messages and multitasking much more comfortable than on a regular phone. The design is also very practical because it is still compact enough when folded. The only downside I have noticed so far is that when using the front screen, some apps can be a bit slow to respond. Occasionally I have had to close the app and reopen it to make it work properly again. Hopefully this can be improved with future software updates. Apart from that, the phone is excellent and the big screen experience is really impressive.

However, in the end I opted for the Z Fold 8 because the form factor felt different. I am obsessed with how good this phone is to use just with the external screen and use that easily 80% but possibly 90% of the time. The battery is currently lasting me 2 days which is outstanding for such a small form factor. The foldable screen once opened is then truly something special. The phone is brilliantly responsive between screens and feels seamless. The camera is really only average when trying to zoom, but for normal photos of subjects nearby is perfectly acceptable.

Been loving my Galaxy Flip since the first edition and upgrading it every year. Didn't expect to say this but after experiencing the Fold8 hands-on, it seems it's time to switch it up. Much slimmer and lighter than I expected, sitting super well in one hand. The real magic was unfolding it (unexpectedly I do appreciate that extra screen space) which made my little scroll through my favourite dog content so much better. Always loved how the Flex Mode on my Flip made every selfie session with my niece and dog so much more fun (and stable) by using the main camera and outside screen and now with the Fold8 camera... chef's kiss :)

And I am so glad I did. The form factor is far better, it's lighter, the display is epic, the crease is nearly non-existent, the battery is superb and holding the device in the hand is great. It's easily pocketable and is very snappy to use, very responsive and so far, I cannot say enough great things about it. I had questions about the camera but for standard photography, I really can't complain. I don't use a zoom lens so I don't miss the added camera in the Fold 8 Ultra. Superb all round device!

I really loved my Flip 3, and then I got the S24 Ultra, which had an amazing camera and was a great all-around phone, though a bit big for my pocket. Now I'm on the Fold 8, and I'm super impressed with how it folds and its slim compact size, and also Samsung does the BEST trade-in deals. The screen and battery are awesome. But, I'm really let down about the camera. For this price, I expected a telephoto lens or better optical zoom. When I tried to zoom in about 15 meters, the quality was pretty bad. Samsung team, you could've made it perfect by adding another camera or better optical sensor, making it a truly outstanding product. It's a real letdown, I feel like I have a camera from 2 years ago.

But, it is still lacking a few essential things, as it doesn't have magnetic wireless charging capability despite the fact it doesn't have a pen like the Ultra that apparently is the cause for not introducing this feature in the first place, it is not coming with a a screen protector for the external display as it used to, no ultra fast charger in the box as the old chargers are not ultra fast charging but barely 10-15 W, the battery doesn't last more than the previous models or any S models. Overall it is not worth the full price but if you can get a good discount then it is a good purchase.

I wasn't sure I would like this phone when I pre-ordered, my doubts were gone in the first hour it is so much fun, the camera is great and using it open makes it a lot better, battery lasts a long time, I love the finger print reader is on the side and not on the screen. If you are on the fence try it, you won't regret it. The hinges are great and no visible line on the screen when open. The speed is great and it is not as fragile as you think so I think it will last before I need to upgrade.

The front screen on the fold8 is perfect for 90% of use. I do multitasking on once open and it does it perfectly with 2 apps open. Only gripe I have is on apps like instagram, it doesn't respond well with me hitting the bookmark button or other types of buttons on other apps where the function sits on the far right of the screen, I believe it's a glitch for the wider format for the front screen. I assume this can be fixed with an update 🙏 other than that - perfect device. Sturdy and feels great.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The best phone format I’ve ever tried. I had the Galaxy S25 Ultra and Galaxy S26 Ultra, but they are bulky and clumsy. The Fold8 makes life much easier: - small, thin and lightweight: it easily fits in a jeans pocket - great for watching YouTube and reading books - the hinge is less visible than on my wife’s Flip6 - the standing case is excellent for hands-free content viewing It’s not ideal, though: - the camera is visibly worse than on the S26 Ultra - some apps cut off content because of the folded display’s unusual width - it looks fragile and might be very expensive to repair after a fall

I tried the Samsung Galaxy Fold 8 and Ultra today and they impressed me a lot. The crease seems to have improved much as compared to the previous Galaxy Fold 7 Ultra. The new design of the regular but compact Fold 8 is what impressed me the most.

With the ultra the screen is too narrow and i feel i need to open it more than i should. The crease is barely visible at the moment which is great. Not sure how this will be over time. Battery life is good last me the day. The hinge is very keen not sure im confortable with the forceful opening. Its alot lighter than my previous phone so durability is yet to be determined. But with this being so light im worried for how it would stand up to being dropped. With the 1tb 16gb it feel rapid when it comes to responsiveness.

They're uncomfortable and impractical. This is the perfect form factor - so easy to hold, and the large folded out screen is amazing. Most importantly, it's a true joy to use folded as well because the screen is a perfect size. Feels great in the pocket too. So far the hinge has only creased a little so I just hope it's durable over time. If so, it's perfect. Not gone below 50% battery with moderate use on both screens, including games. Samsung, kudos. This is a game changer!

Not too small like a flip but not too large like the folds, but a comfortable passport size phone that allows you to easily use it when its closed and fits perfect in the palm of your hands. When open give you a beautiful size for viewing videos like a wide screen TV. Perfect for gaming, viewing office documents, social media. I highly recommend if like me, you want a comfortable phone that can slip into your pocket, but also a large screen for streaming films. It's fast, smooth and simple to use. I’ve been using the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 and, honestly, I’m really impressed. The big screen is the main reason I bought it, and it genuinely makes a difference for emails, reading, maps and watching videos. It’s also surprisingly good for multitasking. It’s not perfect though. It’s still quite bulky when folded, and the price is hard to ignore. The battery is decent rather than amazing, especially with heavy use. That said, it feels much more practical than I expected from a foldable. The build quality is excellent and I actually find myself using the inner screen rather than just treating it as a gimmick. Overall, I’m very happy with it. Expensive, yes, but for me it’s been worth the upgrade.

Have to shut game down completely then re log on. I know it's more a gamers developer issue but that's why it's an issue and not a complaint :) Otherwise, I'm really liking this gem :) Oh and I never give 5 stars cos there's always improvement else we wouldn't buy new...

Two weeks in, the Z Fold 8 is exceptional for daily productivity and media. The outer screen is practical, the inner display is stunning with a subtle crease, and performance is flawless. Pros: Gorgeous main screen, smooth multitasking, solid hinge design. Cons: Battery drains fast under heavy use; cameras lag slightly behind top slab flagships. Easily a 4-star daily driver—just needs better battery endurance to hit a 5.

I have got the s25 ultra, its absolutely amazing, honestly I was considering the 17pro max, pixel 10 pro xl, and the s25 ultra for over 3 months, and did lots of comparisons, all were good products, but by far the s25 ultra blows everything out of the water, its the king of all phones.
