  • Q. What is the standard size of a cooktop?

The standard cooktop size ranges from 30 to 36 inches wide, with 30 inches the most common in residential kitchens. Actual size may vary by the number of burners and design, so measure your space and cooking needs to find the best fit.
  • Choose based on your cooking preferences:

    • • Gas: Offers traditional cooking with precise, responsive temperature control.
    • • Electric: Simple to install, easy to clean, and delivers consistent heat through radiant elements.
    • • Induction: Provides fast, efficient cooking using advanced electromagnetic technology.
  • Usually 4–5 burners are enough, but if you cook a lot or have a big family, extra burners can give you more ease and flexibility.
  • The advantages of using an induction cooktop include faster cooking and improved energy efficiency, as it heats cookware directly with electromagnetic energy instead of heating the surface.
  • Induction cooktops only work with compatible pots and pans. To check, see if your cookware is magnetic—stainless steel and cast iron usually work.
  • The Anti‑Scratch Matte Glass Cooktop is designed for everyday durability, helping reduce the appearance of scratches from cookware and cleaning. Its surface is easy to maintain, offering improved resistance to fingerprints and stains compared with standard glass.
  • A Flex Zone is a flexible cooking area on modern cooktops, especially induction models. It combines multiple heating elements that work together or independently to fit pots and pans of various sizes. You can heat a small pot on a single zone or activate the entire area for larger cookware, providing convenience and efficiency.
  • Cooktops with smooth surfaces, like induction and electric glass models, are usually easier to clean. However, when cleaning electric cooktops, be cautious as the surface may still be hot. Gas cooktops can be more time-consuming to clean due to the burner grates and drip pans.
