In celebration of Earth Day 2021 (April 22), this special series will shine a light on Samsung initiatives that are paving the way for a circular economy. Our first article took a closer look at how the company’s recycling campaigns are giving old phones new life. The second installment went on to examine how Samsung’s Visual Display Business is making its TVs more sustainable by adopting eco-friendly packaging and solar-cell-powered remote controls. Now, the third part in the series presents a video that demonstrates how Samsung is increasing its use of recycled plastic by using materials from old home appliances to make new refrigerator and laundry machine parts.
