WATCH OUT!! this phone does not have NFC, so does not support contactless payments. According to Samsung Support and the Retailer I bought this from, all customers should now be tech savvy enough to know what NFC is, and look at the Specs to see that it is 'not' included! I had an A20 for the last 3 years, that cost relatively the same back then as my new whiz bang A13 5G, and it had NFC and contactless ability! A very poor omission of functionality, that I hope this review helps people find out about, before they make the same expensive mistake. I feel that it is such an essential feature these days, that the advertising and sales chatter should have informed me better. I can only hope that Samsung are able to push the feature to the phone in an update, otherwise I am stuck with phone for the next couple of years, that will mean i have to carry my bank card and loyalty cards wherever I go!!!

My A11 died so the A13 was recommended as a replacement. To me, it has all the features I need and use, not fussed about the different camera settings, I just want to take an ordinary photo!

I got this phone to get me by until I can afford an upgrade. It does all the basic things I need. Unfortunately the pone let's me down. Unable to use tap pay and some apps won't run. Keep telling me I need to upgrade. So it has not helped my situation. My last phone was broken in a dv incident with my sons father. So I really needed so ethi g that wouldn't impact my day to day. Moving fortunately this phone is suited for the younger generation.

Extremely disappointed as A13 5G does not have NFC, so no contactless payments. My fault should have checked Specs of the 5G, having assumed that if the A13 4G had it that it would too. Being a fundamental feature these days, a very bad one to suddenly omit from a model that supported it previously.

Bought this as a cheap alternative to an upgrade from my Samsung 8. Disappointed with it, bad decision. Has no NFC, not pointed out during the sale, wont connect via Bluetooth to the car, my old one did no problems. Upside, battery life great, screen size great, I like Android auto (but Bluetooth would have been better), transfer of data was easy.

I have had my phone for a few weeks now and while I think it is a good follow on model from the many Samsung phones I have owned, I do not understand why the text message panel does not display the entire message so it can be proof read before sending ! My other comment is that the answer button, regardless of setting is so under sensitive that I can only answer reliably using the side button, I have owned Samsung phones since the tiny flip phone you sold many years ago and this one is the first to exhibit this problem !!

I have had this phone for a couple of months. Apparently it can't do Tap and go via Google Pay or Samsung pay. The keyboard fingering is not accurate as my previous phone. Charging and battery life are good, as are photos. The fingerprint recognition works managably. Still working out done set up features.

I am very disappointed firstly with Optus for recommending the A13 and secondly with Samsung for providing a mobile phone that doesn't provide NFC "TOUCH AND GO" functions. After using it for a few years on the old SGS20FE 4G now not to have it on a new device is annoying. Frustrating.

Very please with the performance on my mew A13 5G, battery life is excellent and can last up to 2 days. Only negative that it doesn't have NFC so I can't use my new phone to pay or use public transport which is really disappointing for a new pho e in 2023

I had to by a phone urgently after my ZFlip4 was stolen when I was working away from home so bought this A13. I've had Samsung phones and tablets for many years now because they seem very good value for money and reliability has been great. OK this phone is not as fast and advanced as my ZFlip 4 was but its cost alot less than a quarter of the price so I wouldn't expect it to be. I am very happy with this phone and it will do fine until I can afford to replace my ZFlip 4 again. Very happy.

I bought my Samsung A13 around Christmas time and have not regretted it since. It is a great bang for the buck as it comes with 128GB of storage which is plenty for a smartphone. It has great response times and no issues connected accounts or emails. The design is very sleek and looks amazing. The phone itself in very durable considering I have dropped it many times and no damage. Overall, I would definitely recommend this phone for anyone looking to purchase one.

I have had this phone for 5 weeks now, and I am so happy with it. l also got one for my wife , turning her into a Samsung fan over her long-time use of iPhones. The battery life is great, and the functionality and features such as the 1Tb sd storage are great. The display is beautiful and not hard on the eye's, ease of use well let's say my wife is a technaphob and didn't want to change from apple she loves it good job Samsung nice phone highly recommended.

I am coming from a Z Fold, which unfortunately gave up on me, so my expectation level for a Samsung was really high. There is. Noted difference in price, and obviously, you feel it in processing time and user experience. That said, the phone does all it needs to, has a great display, and fulfils all the needs of a modern smartphone. The biggest difference I noted was in the quality of the camera. The A13 camera is very basic and captures fairly average images.

Had iPhones for the last many phones... And had gotten really tired of being unable to have control of my device Enter Samsung and android First battery life is amazing. With adaptive battery and Power Saving I get almost two full days worth. Apps and app store easy to download. So many more options than applendor basically everything. And many free apps too! I'm already planning on getting my wife one, then we'll be full converts

I recently bought this phone to replace a very old broken one and l have to honestly say that as much as l dreaded making the change, it has been smooth sailing! The salesmen at the Barkly Square Brunswick store were fantastic and l was able to use it to do all my stuff without asking for any help. A very user friendly phone especially for someone like myself who hates trying to learn how to use new technology.

Needed an 'easy to use, nothing fancy' new phone quickly to replace my old A11, dropped a few times & broken screens. Some similar features so not a problem to use- glad I stuck with same brand ,with its similarities. Slightly bigger so wouldn't fit my old cover but A13 was on special so able to buy a new cover & certainly didn't want to drop & break screens again!

Smashed my A51 and had to replace immediately. Live in regional Australia and only A series available was A13. So came down in quality, features and, of course, price. Even so, the A13 is adequate and is definitely everything Samsung says it is. If you don't want a fancy camera and you're on a tight budget, this will suit.

My old A30 died and I had bought a new A13 in preparation. It's very easy to use. My biggest disappointment is the camera which is not a patch on the old one. Poor quality photos which is a shame. I may have to go old school and buy a digital camera. Other than that it's quick, simple with some nice features.

Worked well for a while, dropped it and the power button no longer worked, entire screen shattered, and then once made contact with water froze and broke instantly, i was then informed that the repair would cost more than the phone itself!? Ridiculous!

I bought my A73 5G a few weeks ago and it's been great...easy to set up, use and transfer all my info from my previous A20 phone. Plenty of memory for my use and also has a SD card slot so my photos were easily moved across.

Much better than I expected. The processor is very capable and really long lasting battery. Of course, not for high performance 3D games, but other than that, it is pretty good, especially, i liked 3.5mm head phone jack.

*Samsung Care+ is not an insurance product. With a two year subscription, you can request either two swaps, or two mobile refresh (or one of each) within the 24 months from the Samsung Care+ subscription start date. With a monthly billing subscription, you can request either one swap, or one mobile refresh within each 12 month period following the Samsung Care+ subscription start date. For Swaps: Swap Fee for all eligible devices is from $149 to $299. Samsung Care+ does not cover lost or stolen devices. A swap device is usually a refurbished device of the same model as your current device. If this is not available, we’ll provide a comparable model. Online Exclusive colours and Bespoke Editions are not eligible as replacement devices as part of a Samsung Care+ subscription. You must return your original device within 14 days of receiving a swap device, otherwise you may be charged a Device Non Return Fee. For your swap device to be dispatched by the next business day, your swap request must be lodged by 3pm AEST on a business day and will be subject to stock availability (including colour variants). Ownership of your original device immediately passes to Samsung’s service provider Asurion once it is swapped and all content will be wiped upon receipt. If your device is covered by warranty or consumer guarantee under the Australian Consumer Law, the swap fee will not apply. For Mobile Refresh: a Refresh Fee of $45 to $99 is payable for all eligible devices. A mobile refresh request must be submitted online and, if accepted, customers may utilise the Walk-In or Mail-In service within 7 days. Mobile refreshes are subject to the device meeting the mobile refresh criteria. Device that do not meet criteria may be returned or transferred to a Swap request.
