I'm glad I chose this phone because it makes reading articles or recipes and streaming TV or videos so much more convenient. It's almost been a week that I've had the device and I'm still learning about cool new features. I previously had a Z flip 7 and I am so happy with the dimensions of the fold 8. I wish they made an "ultra" version in this size. The only reason I didn't get the fold 8 ultra is because of the size and a pretty big downfall of the fold 8 is that there is no flex mode. I'm adjusting to not having that and I'm still loving my new phone.

The larger outer screen feels perfectly fit in the hand and also provides a smoothe enough experience that opening the phone is not as necessary as it once was. With this improvement I anticipate this will expand the lifecycle of the inner screen. The minimized crease on the inner screen is a nice upgrade. The only thing this is missing is S-pen capability, a feature I will miss. Overall, I am happy with the upgrade and look forward to learning all this phone is capable of.

The hinge is smooth and firm enough that you need a bit of force to open or close the phone which is good becuase you dont want a floppy phone. It feels very strong as in durable, i wouldn't personally test dropping the phone but im confident it can survive decent heights. The battery lasts me all day and charges very fast, faster than the fold 7. The inner and outer screens are both great, i primarily use the inner screen and I'm well pleased with it. The phone is very responsive when it comes to any task.

It took 8 models of continuous improvement but feel you hit the pocket on this version. The width improvement is beyond good for me as a large man with big hands. I can finally type freely with less corrections needed! I was initially concerned about the loss of height, but after using it for a week it's really no problem, and is more than made up for with the portability and carry benefits. The hinge and opening features are the best yet, and there's been so many across the board improvements to the app and UI features that in many ways it feels like a whole new product line. After watching the release and reviews of the new Z Fold 8 I thought I would give it another change for a foldable. I have been extremely happy with the screen sizes (outer and inner displays) for daily use to watching videos and browsing websites and social media. It has exceeded my expectations and I am happy I decided to give a foldable another chance.

I'm happy I chose to wait on upgrading until this device came out! The experience I've had consuming media on this has been great, where short form videos are the focus on the main screen, and whole TV shows or movies are enjoyable on the large inner screen. One thing I miss between the Z Fold 8 and my old Z Flip 7... flex mode! It was so convenient to prop my phone open to watch something, read a recipe while cooking, etc. I didn't want a big phone like the Z Fold 8 Ultra, so I'm missing out on that key feature.

At first I wasn't too sure if I liked the phone, just went from a fold 5 to the fold 8. But it has been great so far, it takes a couple of days to get used to it. I use the front screen more on this version compared to my fold 5 since it has a better aspect ratio to go through insta and Facebook, but it also goes well for movies. It also has great battery life. Some things I would fix is the camera and flashlight being too low, as my fingers will block it sometimes which can be easily fixed if they went horizontal instead of vertical.

The Cream color looks elegant and premium, and the phone feels surprisingly refined for a foldable. The large inner display is fantastic for multitasking, watching videos, browsing, and getting work done, while the cover screen is great for everyday use. Performance is fast and smooth, and having 512GB of storage gives me plenty of room for apps, photos, and videos. The flip felt too small and I have been an Ultra girl since the note series. This phone ferls great in my hand. It feels like a mini book or even like a compact mirror. The screen is responsive. Flips through pages quickly. The colors of my videos, pictures and movies look stunning. I think the sound is louder than my S23 Ultra. My daughter complained it was too loud but not for me, lol. It's a great little phone and I can't wait until I can customize it even more. It's beautiful and sleek. I love the fingerprint sensor on the side. It responds quickly to unlock.

For years I was curious of the Fold devices but they always seemed beta; still experimental. Finally, with the 7, I was intrigued. I still had a bit to pay on my S24 Ultra so the Fold 8 it was. The Fold 8 is everything I like about the 7, but even better. The Fold 8 is basically the exact width and thickness as my S24 Ultra, but like 2 inches shorter. It's VERY usable with just the front screen. It also weighs about 20% less than my Ultra. Overall, I've been getting better battery life as well. There are obvious tradeoffs going from a slab phone and certain things that are inherently weaker. It's also the first phone I've ever pur hased insurance for. That said, I know ew/know the tradeoffs and I'm very happy so far.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Straight of the box i thought what a cool phone. Easy to set up,had it next to my S24 and it picked my phone up instantly. The Display is fantastic and extremely clear. The Hinge in the fold is very strong but not to stiff and is easy to open. I have my Battery set to 80 percent but everyday use, it doesn't drop below 50 percent, which is miles better than my S24. This isn't a Flimsy phone, it's quite robust and feels very strong in your hand. Searching through apps, it's really quick and very responsive and you can have multiple pages and apps open at the same time. This is a great upgrade from my S24, glad I got one. You won't be disappointed 😉

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had the Fold 6 and thought moving to the Fold 7 was an evolution change, but moving to the Fold 8, wow! The size is perfect, it fits into your hand and looks right. Then you open it up and it transforms, pictures, video and books just fit the this screen ratio. The hinge works better than the Fold 7, opening easier and snaps open. The crease I have forgotten about. I didn't notice it on the Fold 7, but the screen is so much better. I never thought the Fold 7 was a slouch but the 8 seems so much more smoother and responsive. One UI 9 has some great improvements and the integration with the AI makes tasks and work flow so much easier.

My last phone was the s23 ultra for the display size and the CPU was pretty alright. But now I game waaaaay more on my phone when I'm not home and I read a lot more Manga and comics so I felt like I had to chose the fold 8. The compact size of the front is perfect for tiktok and I perfer reading fanfics and books on the front display. Inside is THE PERFECT SIZE FOR MANGA AND COMICS! It is the same size as the paperwhite 12th gen. Only downside is no pen and the inner camera should be more to the corner cause it does mess the menu in a few gacha games like HSR.

I was worried to buy fold type phone because I heared its weak durability from my friends. But Samsung has developed its durability with strong hinge. Battery is similar to my s24 ultra with higher brightness screen. Touch screen responsiveness is also.good. Im satisfied to its mertitasking performance. Overall, it is recommendable.

I loved having a smaller phone, but I also used it for it's bending capability. I planned on getting the new Z flip 8 but when I saw this model I knew it was for me. It's smaller than average phones, and of course it unfolds to a much larger screen. I've missed having a phone that I could use without opening it. Today was the first full day of using it and I used the front screen to watch some videos and slightly opened the phone so it stood on its own. Absolutely loved it. I will now watch movies on the inside screen and i can't wait. This is such a smart move for Samsung!!!!

Got the 8 Ultra. Phone are brighter then last year. Just as thin as last year and the camera work just as well. This year they are not as great with the color choice. Didn't seem to see much other upgrades.

It's wonderfully compact when folded, but unfolding it into a mini tablet completely changes the experience. Videos look fantastic on the inner display, and the anti-reflective screen coating makes a massive difference for visibility. The upgraded faster charging is a welcome quality-of-life improvement, and the cameras are completely sufficient for everyday photos. Most of all, it brought back that genuine sense of excitement for mobile technology that smartphones have lacked for a long time.

Finally, it’s the Fold where I can type comfortably with my big hands. Though I only had it for two days, it’s been very pleasant with all the improvements Samsung implemented into this little device. Battery life has improved, which is a huge plus, the hinge feels much more durable, and the brightness is noticeably better outdoors compared to the Fold 5 I was using. With the newest Snapdragon, the phone feels so much snappier and more responsive. Highly recommended if you’re undecided whether to buy one or not.

When opened the screen is amazing! Watching Netflix and YouTube on this is seriously impressive. When I want to play games I open it up and now I have a tablet, it really blew my expectations out of the water. I really like that the finger print reader is in the power button it makes more sense to have it there. This phone is way louder than my s26 was. The compact size of this phone when closed should be the new standard, it just feels more natural. I dont see myself ever going back to a candy bar shaped phone ever again.

I find that in using the inner display alot more than I did on my previous fold because the new dimensions make it feel so much better in my small hands Also, the phone is just beautiful. I charged it over night and by the end of the day it was 60 percent absolutely chuffed. Flawless display and responsive ,and im blown away by the simplicity of data transference. You cnt the see middle hinge on the display ,the protective screen use to come after a year but with last flip it did not happen .Durability has come a long away. No chipping, bending scratches. The Z Fold 8 is the perfect marriage of the two, and I chose it to replace my everyday use of the Flip. Within the first day, it became clear I wasn't going back to the Flip, which surprised me. I rarely used the cover screen on the Flip, although I had all the tools to do so. With the Fold 8, I use the front screen a lot and don't feel the need to open it every time I use it. And critical factor is that it fits in my pocket, which was a downfall with the previous Folds - too cumbersome for carrying. All in all, it's pretty perfect and I'm glad I chose it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The new Fold 8 (wide) is a great new phone in regards to the external screen and internal folding screen. My only negative thought is no 200 megapixel main sensor and no telephoto lens, very disappointing on such a high end phone with such a high cost. As you will learn due to the Fold 8's high volume of sales, many people like larger phones but not necessarily folding ones. I suggest Samsung consider making a larger nonfolding phone, similar to the width of the Fold 8's external screen but also taller. Bring back the old Samsung Mega branding or call it the Samsung Titan. Again, their is a large market for larger phones especially in this day and age.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First off I chose this phone to replace a Fold 5. I do like this form factor. I mainly use this for day to day browsing, media, and light gaming. For me it was a good upgrade from the 5. But there are some deficiencies. The speakers are a glaring issue for me, they sound significantly worse than the 5. It is really thin and too lightweight. Without a good case that adds weight and grip it is difficult to hold on to. It does have a very snappy processor and apps respond well. Video on the inner display is were this phone shines. Crease is barely noticeable. I would recommend this phone for both new to foldables and returning users.

I ended up returning the Razr for software alone. One UI is incredible and the Z Fold 8 is like having 3 devices in one. I rarely take photos but it's strange Samsung purposely set up a gen 2 with upgraded cameras. Keep us loyal at the onset! This device is amazingly light, strong, last long, has amazing screens, so easy and fun to use. Finally a phone is fun again! I got so sick and bored of the slabs and remote style. This for. Factor is perfect! Love it. So glad I chose to try this out, keeping it until gen 2.

I'm extremely satisfied with my new Galaxy Z Fold8! The fold area where the screen bends has been noticeably improved—the crease is so much less visible now. When folded, it's remarkably compact and easy to carry, and I personally love the overall sleek design. As you can see in the photo, it looks even better paired with the official Samsung case.
